I think u vegged perfect since u still have head room
It's kind of close. I moved some branches around. Try to keep the tallest branches closer to the corners and the shorter buds closer to the light. If I didn't have the small fan blowing on the bulb like I do the heat would definitely be a problem. I'm able to get the plants closer if I wanted to. But I have a cheap light meter and it says that this is the best distance for all my colas

Can anyone help me figure out what problem/deficiency is messing with my crop. The cola to the right with the yellow leaves and the reddish/brownish spots. It's only really affecting a few of the upper colas. The bottom growth grows in well, all green, and the buds look sicker than the tops! All in all they seem to be progressing more or less. It's been 8 weeks since I hit the switch. I have been feeding tiger bloom and big bloom @ 3 tsp each per gal every other watering. I give 1 gal each. Light is 600w hps. Temps remain around 72-79F. FFOF in 5 gal smart pots. Ph was @ a low of 5.8 about to weeks ago but now I keep the runoff @ about 6.8. Any help would be welcomed

Have you been getting a decent amount of runoff when you water?

Well idk what's considered decent runoff lol. I know ppl say 20-30% runoff but of what. I water until I see a small "stream" running out the bottom of the pots then I stop. I give each about half a gal then wait 10-15 min then give them another half a gal

I took a "small" sample from one of the ladies like 2 days ago. A bud from towards the bottom that wasn't probably going to get much bigger to make a big difference. Dried it was about 3/4 of a g. I placed it on top of my hood for like 30 min @ a time then turned it over for another 30 ish min maybe 3-4 times a day. Then would take it off and set it in between two small pieces of cardboard. Just lit it up and I must say I'm impressed with my work . The smoke is really smooth but full. It hits but not like a spaceship taking off. It paces itself and comes on nicely. The high is uppidy. The flavor is well. Taste @ this point is very nice and noticeable although I'm not ready to point the finger @ anything specific. It hints towards berry and like maybe some type of cake lol. No crackling, it stayed lit, and ashed well. After sampling I'm anxious to see what a good dry and cure REALLY does. I plan on letting them go another week-3 to put on more weight if the girls allow. Overall 8 weeks since switch, pulled right off plant, quick dry, no cure, no flush, nutrients and all and the shit is better than the shit around here. Probably some of the better shit ive had in my life

Maybe when you do your no nutes waterings give a bit more water than usual, you want to make sure salts aren't getting built up in the pots. I wasn't getting enough runoff and ended up causing myself huge problems by mis diagnosis after that.
It's a good thing to do and it won't hurt, mis diagnosing and giving extra un needed supplements will hurt though.

Just saying it's a decent idea lol.

You're doing good keep it up.

Thanks. I'm itching to cut them now since I've tasted them lol. But the way some of the buds are forming looks like it may be called acheese for a reason

U didn’t know what strains it was when u planted them??? I had gotten a salt build up when I used fox farm nutes but haven’t received any from Greenleaf Nutrients MEGACROP yet ....

Yea I knew what strain they were. I wa saying that because the buds look like cottage cheese right now lol. Being a first timer I'm not exactly sure what the symptoms of a salt buildup are so idk if that's my problem. I did a "mini" flush a few maybe 2-3 weeks ago. I water each girl with 1 gal of water on the regular. When I did the "mini" flush I ran maybe 3 gals thru each. I know to do a full flush would require around 3 times of water for each gal of your container. I have 5 gal pots. That would require around 45 gal of water total. I didn't have the nerve to fuck with all that water at one time lol. For my next run I plan on switching nutes since I have a better understanding of what all the numbers on the damn bottles say and what the plant needs/wants now. And I know I'm going to get some cal/mag. I think that's my problem because of lack of. The colas are forming good but I wish my leaves were more greener like I see other ppls during flower

Mendocino has a cal mag for flower with no nitrogen I have cal mag for veg and flower one that’s 2-0-0 and 0-0-0 but the only reason I need cal mag is because I put coco loco in my soil this run but next run won’t have any for sure .. My next run is gonna be HF and OF soil with 2 bags of perlite.. To be honest all the mixing of nutes sucks I’m happy with Greenleaf Nutrients so I’m gonna stick with it I’m getting good results and it’s easy as hell like for veg I started with 1 gram of nutes per gallon of water now I’m up to 5.5 grams per gallon of water... Easy peasy...And my Gorilla Glue stayed green all the way through cuz it was nothing but HF soil

It's been 8 weeks since I hit the switch. I have been flushing (regular watering with no nutes) for about a week now. Girls seem to still be "developing" but I'm worried about the leaves now. The ones near colas were banana yellow a day or two ago. Now they are shriveled and/or shriveling. Mainly the ones around the top of buds. I'm worried that these dead/dying leaves will affect my smoke lol. I try to leave whatever is on the plant on bcuz I feel the plant will "drop" what she no longer needs. Summing up should I pull/mess with the shriveling leaves, give a shot of nutes, or just let it be.

I'm making the chop today. I watered them and something told me to "play" with some of the bigger colas. I opened one up and low and behold a little white patch of fuzz. Haven't checked for more. Don't need too. It's been almost 10 weeks since I hit the switch. My biggest girl still has a bunch of white pistals and shoots new ones out everyday. I planned on letting them go another week or two but I can't risk losing my harvest and the last 4 months of my time. I can't just cut one down because the way my setup is I can "freely" move the girls around. So I'm making the chop today. NOW actually. I have been reading about harvesting/curing and while i have some knowledge I was completely unprepared to harvest today. I have to order boveda packs and get jars etc etc. Signing off until next update with progress. Wish me luck lol

So I went to water my girls and on one of my plants that's starting to purple real good I think I've found what y'all can "nanners" but idk. I marked by them in the pics. If they are nanners what should I do? I switched to 12/12 10wks ago. I really want to see that purple come out lol. I have 3 plants in here total. 2 look some what ready or very close. My biggest girl still has white pistals everywhere. Help me with what I should do don't want to lose my harvest. Cut them all? Cut the hermie if it is one? Pick the nanners off? Or let it just run its course since I'm so close to harvest?

It looks good mate! I would get a jewelers microscope and just the trichomes just to make sure they are good to go. Also are you still using that fan controller? I had the same fan/controller set up and finally realized on my second grow that's not good for your fan and you need something else. I can help you find a better one later if you want. I'm not sure if that's hermie or not. Check the trichomes and go from there to help your insight. I love this grow though Good JOB!

Quick update. All 3 of my girls have "hermied" on me. Idk if one went to ripe and triggered the "survival" mechanism and pollinated the others. Wanted to let them go another 2 weeks. Decided to pull early for fear of seeded bud. Almost finished taking down 2 plants and it looks like I caught them before anything got out of hand. Off the two plants so far I have gotten maybe 4-5 seeds total. Not fully developed but seeds nonetheless. Nanners are noticeable. My dumbass been saw them but didn't know what they were until they growed out lol. I thought they were maybe "new" leaves trying to grow lol. When the bud dries I see a couple. And I have picked over plenty of what I'm going to guess as seed pods because there is a teeny tiny little seed in them. I cut lights off about 4-5 days ago and haven't watered because of fear of my hermied blowing up. 2 of the girls are almost down. However my biggest girl still has white pistals EVERYWHERE. I have cut a branch off and dried it but it looks nothing like th goodies from the other two. My question is now that I have cut most of the other two, can I turn the light back on, continue watering, and let the other one develop more before chopping. Like I said no lights, no water, the last 4-5 days. Should I cut the lights back on on the last one or should I just take my good yield from the other two, scratch the last one and write it off as a "learning" experience, and begin my next run

I cut the lights to harvest because I have to veg, flower, harvest, and trim in the same small room. The heat from the light was making temps around 80F and kept humidity around 60-65. Without the light the room stays at a constant 68-72F and humidity is spot on at 50
