I dislike MG but I hear it works fine for some you just can not add nutes. As for clones the longer you wait the better the clones will be for example if you take a clone from mother at 3 months and another at 6 months the 6 months will have more thc and stronger grow. But you can clone the bottoms after I would say 6 nodes are up. Always take bottom clones more hormones.

first time grower just grow let her do what she wants take clones from bottom give her 2 week rest Minimum and flower her. If you enjoy your first time then go out and grab the Growers Bible. It has everything you need to know for your second grow.

I would keep them bushy and small with those lights so when it gets 8 9 in high top her and the side branches will grow up.
