1st Grow Ever

Hi
First let me say I have enjoyed gleaning information from this site. In fact, I have a full notebook of different ideas that have come from hours of toking and reading :-) I am tired of the ditch weed that's around my neck of the woods. I humbly submit my ideas (so far) for your review. The best place in my house is above an insulated garage in the attic. Mind you, we live in Minnesota and it gets beastly cold up here and hot in the summer. The area in the attic is a perfect A frame. So there's what I have. Size wise it's floor is 58" wide - 8' deep and when you measure 8' from the floor, it tapers to 2' at the top. I think I can easy grow 7' or 8' plants.. ??
Going to use 1/2 inch plywood and if need be, I can insulate the back side of that so I'm hoping with good sealing, lights, insulation and a heater that I can stay ahead of our winters. Summer I'm planning on an ac unit. This part make sense?
I'm going with orca for the entire inside of the room but I was wondering if I should make some panels (2' x 3') cover them with orca and set them on the walls pointing towards the plants. This way it would turn the room from an A frame to more of a diamond shape. My newbie thinking was that it would reflect more light to the plants...??? And maybe, it's a good thing it's an A frame so light bounces down quicker..???? Maybe wishful thinking...????
Going to use a filtered inlet and exhaust the room into the furnace exhaust. I plan on drawing the air from the attic (large attic but again, cold and hot) and hopefully I can manage that with the heater and air..
So, thanks so much, I am nervous but very excited about controlling what I ingest.. I will have pen in hand taking good notes and learning..
Thanks

Seems sound. Don't know what Orca is, guessing like panda film. Reflectix is cool because it insulates and reflects. My setup similiar knee wall deal, about the same size. But the room is finished and my office.

You want to filter exhaust, not intake, or else it will stink up the whole house. Not sure I would vent into the furnace.

Temps will tough to control. Crazy ass thought... Frame a larger room to put the ac and heat into. My opinion but it has been easier for me to control temp, humidity, etc by controlling the intake source than putting something in the tent itself. Shit exhausts so quickly! But I am anything but scientific.

What is your plan for humidity. Flowering during summer months may be rough!

Best of luck. Good time of year to start temp wise. Remember that first grow is for learning more than yield. Don't overreact when you run into snags. I am not an expert, posted with some probs today, but I also haven't bought weed in over a year. And I consume plenty. There is pride and then there is utility. The latter isn't too hard to achieve, the prior seems and endless quest...

Yea, orca is a film much like panda. I actually tight about enclosing the A frame into a big square box sort of like a vestibule in a building but that got to seem like a really big project for me.
I also looked at combination air conditioner heater and the humidifier but that get spendy also so I think I would probably put a heater figure out an air conditioner and then put the humidifier / dehumidifier in the room. We've got extra bedrooms but the wife out the skids on that.
I thought filtering inlet was a good idea to keep pests from coming in room. ???
Thanks for responding.
