I've finally started my 1st grow with a bag seed, I have 7 more baggers and I ordered 5 Berry Bomb seeds and got a free white widow seed from them as well! My grow box is roughly 3x3x5 and is lined with mylar safety blankets. Has 2 3" intake holes at the bottom with a fan blowing in and a giant 8" x 24" hole in the top for now.
I'm using 12 23w CFL's, 2 2700k, 2 5000k, and 8 6500k bulbs which seems to be working fantastic. Soil is FFOF, so far I love it, only issue I'm having is slight upwards cupping most likely from heat but a couple posts said it was normal when your having rapid growth and I am. I just FIM'd the plant and she's exploding. I should have taken more pics but honestly I thought I'd just end up killing this one due to it being my 1st grow, o didn't expect it to be as much fun as it is either! So here's the pics that I do have...
I had trimmed a few burned leaves, those are also pre FIM. These next are a few days after the FIM.
She seems quite happy and has 5 nodes at 7" tall and that's with the leaves from the bottom 2 nodes that burned early on removed, it was starting to get new growth from where I removed those leaves around this time. And these last 2 are from today and this one shows the slight cupping...
Like I said its not much but the "east and west" pointing leaves show slight signs. Good news is that my 1st FIM was successful and I believe I'm going to have a nice bush.
So that's where I'm at, any advice or tips would be awesome, I believe once I get a serious exhaust fan set up I'll be able to actually close the door and seal it up. Closed if the cool mist humidifier isn't on it can reach 90° but its really dry during the winter here so that's not a problem but it still gets in the mid 80s with the door closed so I just leave it cracked for now.
