1st Grow, CFL veg/HPS flower

Well after weeks of reading here on the site, i have put together a small veg area in my basement, under the stair case. Right now i started 6 plants, 3 white berry and 3 red diesel. Im using Fox Farm OF soil under 6 100w CFLs. I have stated feeded them anything yet, i need to make a run to the hydro store. I still have to build the flower area, which will be to the left where the bag of soil is. Im planning on using a 400W HPS to flower with.

Day Five, so far so good. They are all about the same size. my homemade cfl hood is doin the trick.

Looking good so far! How tall are you planning on growing before flowering? Also I see you have basically one CFL per plant; are you planning adding more CFL's? I would also be interested in the design of your CFL hood, smg and I will be adding CFL's to our grow this week so tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks man, the two in the big pots will be mothers. and ill be cloning and veggin till bout 15-20". My cfl hood if just a thin piece of wood wrapped in mylar. I used the same parts from this DIY,https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/117244-diy-cfl-fixture.html. I just made another that holds 10 lights. There is 16500 lumens of light in there. i hope it works out.

i cant wait to see how ur r.d. turn out!..we both ordered our seeds from the same place..and r useing the same nutes..lets see how ur buds come out!
 
Very nice. I also use CFLs to veg and hps to flower. Works great:bigjoint: If those are 26watt daylight CFLs you are using, then you have plenty for veg. I grow plants over two feet tall in veg and VERY bushy with even less light than you have - 2 bulbs per plant with y-splitters. Looks like you did your homework. Nice job.
 
4weeks in the soil. been outta town most of the week for work, and i come home to a explosion. they have a nice sent i need to take care of now.

if u vegg a little longer ur plants will be way bigger than mine..i started flowering early with this r.d. ..i was anxious and wanted to see the buds! :)

That looks sick man. let me know what you end up with after it dries. Im going to veg them till about 18" What size pots did you flower with?
 
i vegged for 4 weeks in a 2 gallon pot..then transplanted into 5 gal. pot to flower...i wish i vegged a lil more though... id recomend vegging for 6-8 weeks and flower some monsters!
 
I figured about 8 weeks of veg. i have them in small pots now... i need to transplant. i was thinkin of using 3 gal pots to flower. think i should go 5gal? i have a 3x3x7 area to flower. i wanted to get as many as i can in the space.
