Hello all,
TokemonGo here. I've been reading through forums for sometime now and finally decided to give growing a go. This is my first grow of anything ever, so I'd more than appreciate your comments and input... so w/o further adieu, let's go!

Here's the cab that I ended up putting together. I doubt she'll be winning a beauty pageant, but I think she'll be able to get the job done.

The dimensions are 1.5'x2.5'x3'. All the seams and cracks have been caulked and the doors a semi-lined with insultation material that takes care of light leaks. This really isn't too big of a deal, but I'll get to that later...
I currently have only one fan installed as an exhaust fan w/ a passive intake hole. It's a 12V that's rated for 190CFM, but I'm running it on a 10V adapter, so I guess-timate it's running @ about 150 for me.
As far as the lighting goes, I have 3 105W, 6200 lumen CFLs. 2x 2700k, 1x 5000k.
There's a ionizer in the cabinet to help with smell control once everything gets going.
Throw in a digital thermometer/hygrometer and there you have it....

I ordered a pack of autoflowering ak47xblueberries. I pick these seeds because apart from sounding like an awesome smoke, I have space and climate requirements. The cab is kinda small, so I needed something that grew short. Also, I live less than 30min from Canadian soil, so it gets pretty cold here, especially in the basement where the young ladies will be kept. To help keep temps up during the upcoming (and current) cold months, I'm going to run the lights 24/7, which autoflowers can mature under, given they don't depend on light cycle to go into flowering. I tried to start off with 3 plants, but one seed never germed, so I'm just going with 2 the first time around... both of which sprouted after 3 days :)
'growing the young ladies in a soil mixture and feeding them GH FloraNova nutrients.

Yelp that's all for now... keep ya posted. Same chronic place, same chronic journal...:joint:

Looks good and efficient. You'll be smokin ak47 soon enough. Definitely a strain on my to-smoke and to-grow list. Good luck!

Day 4:
Nothing too new with the little ones. A couple new leaf pairs. I fed them the "seedling" recommended dose of NovaFlora grow & things seem okay.
I did notice however that the soil mixture (4 pts soil, 1 pt peat moss, 1 prt perlite, 1 prt vermiculite) I put together has slight green tinting in some areas. Is that normal? I wouldn't think it was fungus or anything. I'm a noob though and would love the peace of mind of a more experienced grower out there to tell me so.
Temps are climbing a little bit, but @ this point, I'm not too worried.
Oh & I've named the two plants Stacy (plant 1) and Kelly (plant2) btw :) From now on, I'll be putting a pics of Stacy up first, followed by Kelly...

Update date you all in a few days. Same chronic place, same chronic journal...:leaf:

Lovin the setup. I am a closet grower myself (money is tight, but I am thinking of getting some freebies from a local construction site scrap. I am not sure what I can McGuiver together. Out of curiosity, can you tell me how you made your lights? I like that design... I like CFL's as they are way more inexpensive than HPS or MH.

For sure. No secrets in this journal, lol. I was inspired by another journal and did some modifications for my cab. I'll PM you the link. If you have any questions beyond that I'll be happy to give my input...
Good luck!!

So it's been 7 days since I saw the first leaves break ground.
Kelly (plant2) has had quite the growth spurt, but I noticed her leaves curling a bit. One site suggests it's due to Mg deficiency, given the leaves are curling up. I thought it may also potentially be due to low humidity. Anyone agree/disagree before I try to rememedy the situation?
Stacy (plant1) has been growing a bit slower. Both have been getting the same feeding schedule. Every plants diff, so maybe she's just the little sis.
Anywho pics are included. Stacy's up first, then Kelly, and the temp.

Update you in a few days. Same chronic place, same chronic journal...:joint:

They died!

Classic case of "grower overwaters plant, plant gets mold, grower using fungicide recommended by guy @ the hydro store, plants die after fungicide application."

Guess it's on to another batch. I'll learn from my mistake this time and refrain from overwatering the ladies...
