Hello, so this is my first grow. I've been researching all different types of growing from outdoor soil to indoor aeroponics and hydroponics. So when I got a fee clone as a 1st time customer gift at my local wellness center, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to grow. She will be 2 weeks old tomorrow but is growing fast! This grow is on the cheaper side but I feel I've done a quality job so far. Tell me what you guys think, criticism is welcome. Enjoy the pics.

Lights I'm using, 4 45w 6500k's. Running 24hrs on.

It's home running one light. I was waiting for the splitter/adapter to get here.

Lights w/ adapter.

New light setup in.

Everythings looks great. Have you done any research on LST'ing or FIM'ing or Topping your plant. LST is a amazing technique. Im a huge fan of it. Check it out on my grow link.

I do know what topping is and I plan on doing it at some point to increase yield and to stop it from getting to tall. I've seen a little on LST'ing but nothing on FIM'ing. I'll be sure to google it.

Edit: BTW the strain is Super Silver Haze.

Looking good. I've been using the GH FN series and like it. Just shake well....

I just started a couple of Silver Kush seeds...wonder if there is any common genetics... I think it's supposed to be super silver hash x kush but they are both silver and super.....so who knows.

Cheers,

So I had my first issue this weekend. After going from 1 light to 4 lights this Friday, the plant got a bit light burned. Since then I have added intake and exhaust fans. That day also happened to be the day before feeding so the soil became very dry. For now I am only running 2 lights at 18/6 until it recovers a bit, after which I will gradually move up to 3 then all 4 again and maybe back to 24hrs on.

Fans. Intake fan points directly at the fan inside of the box.

Duct to keep exhaust out of the intake.

Shes doing better, seems to be out of shock for the most part. I feel that it is a bit stretched, she is at 10",if I could get some opinions that would be awesome. I'm thinking about topping, should I do it soon? Or let it get a bit taller/older? Also back to running 3 lights and its still very cool in the box with the new fans, few more days and I may go back to 4 lights.

Thanks man! I'm really happy with how well its turning out . I don't know how much longer until flower, I'm just going to feel it out. I am limited on hight so It will most likely be soon. Topping should help also.

If someone could answer the questions in my last post about streaching and topping it would much appreciated! Thanks guys!

Looking GREAT. I would top her now, maybe go down an extra node or two so she bushes up a little.

Is that a Chef hat you're using as a duct? If so, nice....

Cheers,

Thanks for the complements and advice! I think I'll go ahead and top her tomorrow. The duct is just cardboard from a box that was rounded out.

2 weeks 4 days today and she's been topped! Shes getting a bit more bushy which I'm happy about. Although I'm still getting yellowing on some leaves, anyone have any ideas of what it could be?

I picked up some Foxfarm ocean forest soil, I am going to be transplanting to a larger container later today. That should help with the nutrient burn I have been getting. It seems that the soil I have it in now has nutrients itself, then I was also adding some with watering. When I transplant her should I rinse off as much of the old soil as possible without getting too far into the roots, or should I just leave the old soil and put it right in with the new soil?

how old is that plant from seed?
I got her as a clone from my local wellness center. Thanks for the link!

Thanks for all the help guys! Keep on token!bongsmilie

Yes rinse off that old soil. Try not to break too many roots though. Don't want her to stress too much. Also, depending on your plant and the stage it's in FFOF can hold your plant down for about a month without having to add nutes. Given it's size I'd say 2-3 weeks for you.

Thanks again dude! Exactly the answers I was looking for, more rep for you. I'll hold off the on the nutes for 3 weeks and see how shes doing. I think I was getting a bit aggressive with the nutes (excited for the grow lol) so I'll take it a bit easier going forward. I also just got a new plant from a buddy of mine, he germinated a seed from random bag of smoke so I'm not sure what strain it is or if it is even female. I'm going to keep it away from my sliver haze plant until I can determine what gender it is. Hoping for a female!

Yeah I know what you mean, out of all the sites for MMJ/cultivating I felt this is the best one! This experience has turned out to be a lot funner than I originally imagined. I think for my next grow I will be going the DWC route. More updates tonight after the transplant to the larger container, also I'll throw in some pictures of the new plant.
