With another plant I have I cut some of the lower leaves on one side not the other. The side I cut has slightly more growth, atm.

Your going to send your plant into shock, and stunt your plant. You are causing you plant to transfer its energy, this is bad.

I did a set a week to inhibit shocking. Took 2 fan leaves day till only the tops were on.

The leaves attached to the buds are so big on this buddy I figure it won't make a difference.

They are required. It is the cannabis community. Its full of all kinds of nonsense. Cutting fans off, flushing, using paper towels to sprout seeds, overpriced overhyped canna specific nutes, all of which would not be used on other plants like a vegetable garden.
I will say though that sometimes removing a little here and there is useful to prevent mold in very bushy plants.
Could you imagine cutting all the leaves off an apple tree or tomato plant to get better yields? Laughable. Right?

Most people think that direct light on their buds equals a boost in yield so they cut off the leaves that actually carry out photosynthesis and store nutrients needed to boost them buds up!

I will say it did not work on the 2 haze plants I had, it shocked them, the indicas seem to like it.

To be fair i'll post pics of the "horrible haze" defoliation experiment from earlier this summer when i get the chance.

I'm going to do it three times with indica and sativa dominant strains. At least that way it's somewhat scientific.
