18 days on 12/12.. do they look right?

I have another thread up as my journal but it normally take forever to get a response. I just want to know if my plants look like they suppose to after 18 days on 12/12. A couple of days ago a fan fell on one of the plants and broke the main stem where the "FIM" cut made 4 main stems. i think it may have slowed down growth but the plant look healthy and the pistils seem to still be growing.

They are growing under a 400w hps and a 400w mh bulb

They look fine and healthy. Why dont you buy another HPS bulb ? and rock out with 800W HPS, your plants will thank you and you will have fat ass nugs.

After doing some research i read thats its better to flower with both bulbs. I had 2 hps at first but blew one of the bulbs.

It doesnt hurt and is better than nothing but I dont see how it could be better for flowering because in flower the plants need the red spectrum, the more red spectrum the better.

Both spectrums are great for like the last two weeks. Right now, I think 2 hps would be better.

Think i might have to go ahead and get a second hps bulb then switch to both towards tha end

There ya go!!! That will definitely help you will get some fat buds. I flower with a 1000W HPS I get huge nugs.

quality might be a little bit better wit a mh bulb but not enough to make a big difference..a hps would make that plant produce higher yields and less of a stretch, make it a little bushier and loer RH and higher temps..not by much tho

yea when i use my 1000w hps i get golf ball sized nugs by week 2 or 3

i can help u out with that one..MH bulbs have blue spectrum..like uvb..and uvb is the easiest way to increase thc levels..i still use my hps in flower but i add a reptile light wit 10.0 of UVB

and thats the information i got too.. But i'm guessing its not that important at the beginning stage of flowering so i think i'm just gonna add the mh like the last 2 weeks before harvest

Hellz yeah I grew some white russian last year those nugs were like a baby's arm.

Yeah its just a way to increase THC kind of like the whole "giving your plant 48 hrs - 72 hrs of complete darkness before harvest. " I dont even use my 1000W MH at 18/6 it would be a bitch on my electric bill so I just stick with the T5 for veg HPS for flower, probably add that T5 the last 2 weeks this go around.

Thanks.. I gave all of y'all some +rep.... I'm definitely gonna upgrade to at least 600w hopefully 1000w for my second grow, considering this is my first grow i just want to make it to the end lol

week 2 is when most thc is produced..u can tell by looking at ur plant..i know mine always get alot of thc production at the start of week 2

white russian has fat long colas PERIOD i always wanted to try/grow that strain..i can get a those seeds for $10 per seed..i usually buy clones for 10-15 bucks though

heres what a 600w hps and a 400 w hps can do i agree hps is the way to go these are og kush and sour diesel in the 4th week of flower
