Yep, the ones in the pots have 18 days behind them (old school skunk) from the time I germed. The upper left and right have soil from my home compost pile. Guess I have that cooking ok! Thinking I may be using more of it in the future. The ones in the dixies are 7 days old. Just put them under the lights (diesel ryders). At some point they will all see HPS at 600w. And sorry to scam your post. Just trying to be helpful. With that note. All you CFL growers. I do not think you could ever put too much light too them with CFLS. My 400 and 600 have never been an issue early on. That was kinda my point to my first post. Happy Trails!Nice start man! Do you plan on adding more lights as you get into flower?
Not sure if you were talking to me or him but yeah, on flower im going to double the lights i believe, since my previous statement in my journal.Nice start man! Do you plan on adding more lights as you get into flower?
I see, i live in a small town with only a walmart, so its kinda hard to get shit i need until i make a long trip to nashville just to go to the hydro store, but walmart has MH bulbs. But I do not think so dude. I give my newbies just a few days under "easy" light. Then BAM! right under the 400w mh 18/6. I attached a few pics to show my point. Hope you do not mind. Happy Trails!
I am sorry dude, I think he was talking to you! And yes, a layer of perlite on top. Helps to keep moisture in the soil and great for light reflecting. And about you HID bulbs. Use a M59 ballast for MH and a S51 for HPS. Both are just basic ballasts that can be easily wired for 120/240/408 ect. The HID bulbs at your local Wally are ok but not that good at growing. Better bulbs are out there. Look online, tons of options. I prefer Eyehortilux, but like I said, many good options. You can achieve good results with just CFL's. Just need too keep them as close as possible.I see, i live in a small town with only a walmart, so its kinda hard to get shit i need until i make a long trip to nashville just to go to the hydro store, but walmart has MH bulbs.
I was just wondering if i needed to get a certain ballast for that and all, as i'm a cfl grower i dont read up much on MH and HPS
also, is that just a pure layer of perlite?
I see, i like the perlite idea for reflection i never thought about thatI am sorry dude, I think he was talking to you! And yes, a layer of perlite on top. Cool, I think you off too the right start. Play and experiment. Though during the veg stage I would use as many 6500 as possible, just a one or so of 2700 for balance. Then when flowering just the opposite. Many 2700 and a few 6500 for balance. Good luck in your grow. I will be following it!I see, i like the perlite idea for reflection i never thought about that
This grow i will continue to use cfls, and until i get the funds.
But i wanna look at MH and HPs when i go into testing out my hydro skill
My thoughts exactly!Cool, I think you off too the right start. Play and experiment. Though during the veg stage I would use as many 6500 as possible, just a one or so of 2700 for balance.
