which is better for a 3ft high 22inch wide 2 ftlong plywood box???

good grow but not bad heat problems also intake outake and 8 inch fan


400 overkill or just right or what

im using a 250w hps in that same general sized grow space. i have a 400w hps, and i put it over my plants.. here's the result of putting that 400w hps over them 3 feet away.{pictures}

looks your having problems with heat from that bitch huh?

i mean with the 8inch fan intake and outtake and the 400w in a 3ft. high 22inch wide and 2ft long box what temp you think i will range

and does a mogul base fit a plug to socket never thought before?? about that?

yeah i know but i dont have many option because i know everything im going to get for my new box and all of it except the rockwool (older thread i started) is at lowes
so if someone could go on lowes.com and tell me the best light i should use for the price that would be great

i would love the 400w hps but im not sure if my plant will get fryed after my first round with the new box i plan on getting a cheap humidifier though??


and the MOGUAL BASE in a PLUG TO SOCKET will that work??

sorry for the caps i just want to find out?
 
You do relize you NEED a ballast to make those bulbs work? Seems you still need to do a bit more research.

If you do decide to buy online, check out HTG Supply or if your poor/cheap then perhaps consider the E-Cono light?
 
thanks for the link but haha the clooest one is like 35 miles cant go for that

i have the whole thing planned about 70 bucks for everything and really dont want to go any higher i know i soud like a puss but shit

i want a few small plant with at least a quarter each plant planned out for 6

hmm i know a lot but shit im getting conflicting signal cause i stated a thread a long time ago about putting heavy duty light on surge strips and guys said they got that shit running right now so hmmm
 
Well, if you only want to spend around 70 then you can go with the E-Conolight. It's about 30 bux shipped. Your other options would be to get a shitload of CFL's (mm id say atleast 300-350 ACTUAL WATTS) and hope for the best. CFL's will plug into any normal mogul socket using 115-120V.

Heavy duty light? Could you perhaps link to the old thread?

yeah i guess your right how many lumens would be good for my 3fth 22inw 2ft long box i know 4,00l pr sq foot but what do you think because im learning a little right now??? haha

Mercury Vapor is way wrong color spectrum, it's off in the purple side of blue and no good. You'd be better with a used 400w HPS Hortilux regardless, then get a new one after the first harvest.

Your going to need some 5500-6500K lights for veg as well.. 4x23W isnt going to be enough man. Thats only 92 watts. That wouldn't be ideal for even one plant.

Well, he's aiming for ~70 bux. A 400W Horti is well over 70 already.

Oh and T@ll, I saw the thread you were talkin about. From what I saw you were asking if you could daisy chain a few power strips to use with a HPS.

Don't daisy chain them. You could add as any as you wanted and it wont raise the amount of load it can handle. If your looking for a way to elongate the power cable, just get an extension cable? Different strips are rated differently. If your going to use a single strip as your global power point, then get one rated 15A @ 120V (or 115, same thing).

what is hortilux and why is diffrent that a reg 400w hps

have you read over the other information i have giving thanks for input though
 
would 172w of cfls be good for 6 plants in a 3ft high 2 ft long 22in wide box

about 6 plant infine with 2 ft plants
