175 watt metal halide

will a 175 watt metal halide light make my electricity bill go threw the roof? or just like 10 bucks?

depends on were u live, i use a 400w MH/HPS and naa it only goes up like 25-45 for 18/6 light schedule.

Thats like two light bulbs... nothing to worry about... few dollars a month.

In my area, I estimated that a 400W HPS being run for 18 hours per day would cost me around $13 a month , so no, 175W will def not make it go through the roof.

equation ---> lamp wattage DEVIDED by 1000 , multiplied by your kilowatts per hour (kwh) price (mine was $0.05 or 5 cents) , multiplied by hours per day being used , multipled by 30 days in a month.
If you were paying $0.07 per KWH , ur price would be around $7 a month running 18hours per day.
