Just was wondering why these 16 oz cups dry out so fast!? I just watered them yesterday morning and now they seem to be dry already.Does that mean that it's time to transplant? The plants popped out the dirt on the 9th and they are all about 3-4 inches. Sorry for not havin pics right now, but my cam is broken. In a few day's i'll have pics tho. Any help/ suggestions are greatly appreciated.:peace::joint::joint::joint:

i normally go by how heavy they feel when the plants are in small pots for when they need water, i also use these planters that you can just plant in a bigger pot and they break down in order to avoid shock when transplanting

Time to transplant.

Make sure whatever you use has drainage holes in the bottom.

Good luck :)

It COULD mean it is time to transplant. I find that 16 oz. starter cups usually get me through the first 14 days if not a little more. It COULD also mean your lights are too close to the plants or that temps are too high in general. More info on your setup would help.

it seems as though i have to water them almost every day! I have them under 4, 4ft T-8. warm white and daylight tubes.

OK, I understand that. You've already stated that.....

My question was, HOW MUCH water do you use when you water them? Does water drain out of the bottom of the cups is what I'm getting at here?...

I water my 3liter pots everyday once the plants get larger... I don't see the problem as long as you're around to water everyday. If you don't then you might want to think about repotting into a larger container. Right now I have some veggies in tiny styrafoam cups and those need watering twice a day. Fing bastard greens and god damn late frosts.

Well I was in the Party Cup Comp and I flowered mine in it, and yea they do dry out quickly. In flower I had to water 2x a day sometimes 3x
Here's a pic of 1
