the "^2" represents stacked areas. I'm thinking that I might be able to run the whole 4'x12' area as flower with the other tents running mothers/clones/veg.

Also, the top-right area will probably be expanded to 3'x3'^2.

I'll probably run tents instead of putting up a wall/tarp for this scenario.
id build the walls myself. why not just build two walls. 1 wall 12' long 4' out like your showing and 1 wall for 1 big veg room 3' like you have but the entire end having a 7' wall. 2 rooms total, 2 doors,no stacking, it would be much cheaper to build then use tents if your handy. I was a home builder in a pryer lifetime so i lean towards framing my own stuff but i do have 2 tents for testing genetics and they are convienent.

Well I'd rather not build a wall down the middle because it's going to make it a pain to get into the main grow area. I'd like to keep the brown sections for 100% grow space (think of those as tray sizes or whatever)

The tents were mainly just to make things a little tidier and so that I can freely work on any section without having to worry about day/night cycles but I do know how to frame. We actually built wooden tables inside of my old tents and it worked great but tents can definitely get a little expensive.

You may still consider partitioning the veg areas from the flower area with panda film or something similar to prevent light leaks.

Oh for sure. If I don't go the tent route then I'll obviously have to do something to block the light.

I'm just not sure that the 12" wall in front of the flowering area is the right answer haha.

Growmau5 and Tiki (I think that's his name) talk a lot about 3-sided rooms for growing so I will probably do something like that with a tarp/velcro setup for the 4th wall/entry.
