Plant looks great man! I like those little 150w Sun Systems - they do an awesome job considering the low wattage used.

Looking good. I've used a SunSystem 150W HPS for over six years now and I've grown some pretty fine weed to smoke during that time, if I do say so myself, LOL. I always used regular household potting soil, though...I just switched to the roots mix for my current grow. It'll be interesting to see how your grow turns out. Those buds should fatten up over the next six weeks or so.

Your plants should be pretty tall right now...have you thought about adding any additional lighting? If they're more than 3 feet or so, you might benefit from a few CFLs hanging down below the canopy to get light to the lower branches (if you've got room in your garden space, that is). Maybe some 6500K's to balance the spectrum? I'm just thinking that the 150W doesn't really penetrate too far down on the plants. That's why I started doing SCROGs after my first closet grow (which still produced a good amount of product). CFLs are a pretty cheap and easy way to boost the amount of light your plants get when you're using a 150w HPS.

Keep it up, and good luck. I'll subscribe to this grow if I can ever figure out how to do it on this site, LOL :eyesmoke:

Yeah, I have two that I've used for 6+ years now and they're still going strong (not the same bulbs, of course). Very dependable.

I'm working on cutting one of them up so I can move the ballast out of my gardening area. My new cab will be much smaller (2x2x4 ft) than any closet that I've used them in before...and they DO create a fair amount of heat if they're in a tight space. Great lights, though...and the size of the whole unit is perfect for a small personal grow.

I've had my 150w in a cabinet about that size (2'x2'x3'). Bought one of those little $10 circular fans from wallyworld and just hung it to the end of the housing, blowing across the bulb toward the ballast. Worked perfect in keeping it cool enough for the space... but like you, I'd prefer a remote ballast. By the way, there are supposed to be 150w MH conversion bulbs on the market by now (may have been delayed due to manufacturing issues if I heard the rumor right though)...

Thanks for the compliments and xebeche ive been working on that but i have exhausted all my clfs on my veg cab but ill see what can be done to get more. As for the sun system its been doing pretty good for me I've only done one grow that got to harvest since this it was all clfs and very low yield with orchid bloom booster from a local hardware store. Had a nice high but very harsh to smoke.https://www.rollitup.org/members/xebeche-284204.html

wainting patiently for new pics......

Very nice, did you think about topping those prior to flowering? Looks like a nice cola will form on these, 2 or 4 would have been killer!

So for your scrutiny and pleasure here is my girl week 5 of flowering.
Let me know what you think folks.

Question: what strain? Did you clone any? What was the distance from the plant tops to the hps bulbs. I am using 2 hps sun system 150 w setups just like yours qlong with 12 cfl's along side the hps fixtures.

Its a bagseed that is unknown and yes i got 5 clones one of which I am flowering. As for the tops they are about 6 inches from the bulb no an exact measurement though. sorry

Well just a few days later figured id take some pics got a new camera.
