:leaf: The setup:

150w SunSytem HPS
Gl60 (2x2x5) Grow Lab Tent
Fox Farm Ocean Soil
4" Carbon Air Filter
4" Inline Fan
6" Clip on Fan

As far as stealth goes this setup is very nice as far as hiding light goes.
The space is perfect, 2x2x5', there is plenty of room all around and I am able to setup all the equipment without taking up valuable space.
ALL light is concealed in the tent beside when the flaps for ventilation are opened.
This setup is in my closet of my bedroom and I hate leaving the inline/carbon filter on.. It is not quiet.. :wall:

On my next grow I will use subs organic supersoil recipe but for now I am using Fox Farms Ocean soil.
I heard mixed reviews about this type of soil and the company in general but I have no problems so far. The nutrients are organic- made with earthworm castings guano etc..

Now I used to have a 250w HPS but this was a kick down from a friend who used it a lot. It got far too hot, had no reflector hood and constantly made this buzzing sound you might hear from a street light a parking lot ..
I got this 150w Brand New from SunSystem and it works fine.

I might use the 250w during the flower cycle but for now the 150w certainly does the job given the amount of space and the square feet.

In order to get the seeds to sprout - after germinating 5 of them in a wet paper towel in a ziploc then choosing the best two - I'm using a CFL 2700k. I will use two of these when they get a little bigger then I will use the 150w at the end of the begging cycle. (Without the noisy inline / carbon air filter on the temp with the 150w gets to 85F) (the best goal is to keep the temp at 75 during the day) This along with the noise from the fan would not make this stealth grow IMO. It is a nice closet grow though.

(The bin is only temporary- the temp is about 75F)

It has been about a week since the seeds sprouted and they are doing just fine with the clip on fan blowing to help them become stronger.

Ill continue to post updates on this thread. Thanks !

The cool tube is good! How is space/ducting in the tent?
Does it reduce the temp significantly? 400w in a 2x2' :-?
I'll post up a pic soon for you.
I do struggle with temps a bit, but its very submissive thing. It's just a bit pricier but more yield means more smell, more feeding, etc.
I would recommend you getting a 400w with a dimmer on the ballast, then you can dim it from 400 to 300 to 200.
I think a cool tube is a must for our size tent, with the cool tube you can let your plants even touch the cooltube at times.

Yeah I'd love to see some pics!
do you know what the sq feet is in our tent? Also how many plants are you going to grow? I'm gonna do either one or two.

One Week Later..

More Sets of Leaves. Strong Plants. The bounce right back, stand nice and straight. The fan blowing INdirectly at them has really helped strengthen them.

i will transplant the smaller plant into another pot soon.

NO nutrients have been used as well as fertilizers besides what is in the soil. Watered twice a week. (A few inches away around the plants). Misted daily.

Since my last post I also added a second "100w" equivalent (2700k) CFL for the two plants.

Needing some CO2 for them though- I was originally going to make up a DIY co2 but I have found something better :)

Just a little past 3 weeks at this point. Here are some Pics !

Basically the smaller plant was transplanted. Added the 150w got rid of both cfls. Growth subsided for 2 days then I topped. (Embryo leaf, single blade, triple blade, topped)
I just pinched it right off. 2 days of recovery and now I have two new branches coming up. (I didn't want this done to the healthier fuller plant since it was naturally focusing it's energy on those branches)

Also I have been spraying seltzer water (non-sodium etc) on the plants.. noticed average .6" of growth each day.

oops I lied, for the fan you should try a fan controller, might help with the sound, and if it doesn't you could always just return it to the store for a refund or instore credit (if you buy it from a cool store)

Update Week 5:

I went ahead and topped the main plany anyway ^_^
It was getting tall so I pinched towards the top..I will let this one veg another week or two max.
Still spraying Seltzer Water..Got a clone from my friend. It wasnt the healthiest clone so it's chillin right now seeing what it will do. He also gave me a Feminized White Widow seed I will germ soon.
Planning on getting a second tent with a 250/400w HPS for Bloom. I'll harvest one plant every month or so.

The plant that was topped first is so bushy.. branches growing everywhere! This one I will let Veg the longest.

You can tell which one is the clone...Lol I pinched off the main fan leavs on the clone since it had yellow spots.. (possibly cal/mag issue)
Also the 'droppyness' of the branches on the plants are intentional..I bend them down casually then they stretch right back up.
