150w bulbs

I'm moving soon and I want to start a stealth grow.My question is,does a 150 watt bulb require a ballast ?This is going to be a cheap grow any other suggestions to help minimize cost?

CFL Bulb or a HID Bulb?

i would guess hid seeing as most* cfls are self ballasted.


*except for some like the larger watt cfls like the LIGHTS OF AMERICA cfl flood lights.
