150 watt hps

i just got a 150 watt hps today and was wondering how far should i keep it away from my plants




i just put it up, is this good , lower? higher?View attachment 1305427

i would bring it down a lil closer.. i would say anywhere from six to eight inches for that sucker should be good.. heres a good tip.. place the lamp where you think is good, and than hold your hand at canopy level for a few minutes.. if its too hot for your hand, its too hot for your plants as well...

I run 3 of those lights love them. I would say u can go alittle lower than that I use the hand test which u put your hand right over the top of your plant lower your light to where its nice and warm on your hand. If its uncomfortable for your hand it will be for your babie I like to keep it so its nice and warm on my hand and I adjust the light to that. You don't want to keep it to far away it won't get to the lower parts of the plant and she will stretch on you. Hope that's what you where looking for hope your grow goes good. Peace

casey i also run 150w like yours and i keep mines bout 4-5 inches away with a fan blowing on the top, as long as u got a fan blowin on the tops you'll be okay

cool i got it about 10 inches away right now if there all fine in the morning i will lower till i get it perfect

not that bad 81-85 lights on and 65-60 off, like i said if u have a fan blowing on tops of your plants 4-5 inches is no problem
