As the title explains.

Been looking at amazon and after getting ready to buy a 150 watt HPS it said that it couldent ship to europe and so the only light i found for around 70-100 dollars witch ships to europe is an fluorescent light. I'm going to be growing two-three plants and i was wondering if 150 watt Fluorescent light is enough or if i should continue to look for an HPS light system.

+ Rep for anyone who can find a cheap HPS system or are able to help me out. When i figure out how to give rep that is.

I can't speak to specific sources of HPS lamps within Europe, but plenty of the lights sold in the USA will run on American standard 110V *or* European 220V. There are tons of sellers of these, and if you really can't find a convenient local source, I bet some of them probably would ship to Europe. You'd have to contact individual sellers and see if they'll ship to Europe and what it will cost.

My guess is you're probably better off just buying something in your own country, since it will avoid high shipping charges, and eliminate delays with customs or import fees, etc. Note that commercial lighting equipment can be adapated for growing purposes, if you are even a little bit handy.

To answer the other part of your question, a true 150 watt draw fluorescent bulb inside of a quality reflector most definitely is enough to grow 1-2 small plants. Figure you'd getting roughly the same photosynthetic light output as 110 watts of HPS.

You can't expect massive yield from only 150 watts (of ANY light), but you could pull 2 ounces or more per cycle with the right strain if your setup is good and you have good technique. Proper training ("SCROG", topping, etc) will be helpful to maximize yields in a small setup like this.

Lastly, to give "rep" to a particular post, just click on the small six-pointed star on the brown bar on the bottom left of the post.
