14w CFL?

no... none of those are good... they'll put off too much heat and won't give you enough of the right spectrums of light...

for cfls... if you are buying at like a hardware store or lowes type place, they will usually have 42w cfls for like 8 bucks a piece, i'd use 3 or 4 of those for each plant...

check out the grow faq's lighting section and read up as much as you can!!!

I've been reading, it cleared up much confusion.

I plan on only growing a foot to a foot and a half plant haha, would two cfls per plant be feasible?

eh...

i really wouldn't want to go with less that 3 per plant, but you'd still be able to grow with just the two...

just remember, you generally get out what you put in...

well

what you could do then, is buy a 42 w for the tops of each plant your growing... then, fro like 10 bucks at lowes, you can get a 4-pack of 23w bulbs usually... if you did that you could probably get a fairly decent setup...

IMHO for vegging you don't need much light if it's the right spectrum, i use 6500k cfl's for veg. I also only use 1 23w cfl per plant and have had great results with small plants (under 1ft) in veg. For flowering i would recomend HPS though.
Here are a couple pictures of my cfl vegged plants. 6 inch pots then 12 inch 3 gallon pots.
2 weeks/ 20days/ 1 month
