14 days after germination...under sized????

Just dropped these in the NFT tank today, they were germinated 14 days ago. Do they look under sized?

Hmm a little small maybe but they seem to be fairly healthy.

What strain are they?

Hm they seem fine, how close is your light to the plants?

Can you nudge it a bit closer without burning the plants?

You're fine dude. The way I see it is, if you're doing something wrong the plant will be the first one to tell you. Don't worry about the speed of the growth if everything looks healthy.

Yes LED (UFO) with 600w CFL above the LED. I can't drop the CFL anymore, it has an aluminum shield that causes too much heat. The UFO is as close as I can get it without cutting one of the plant out of the light.....one of the drawbacks of the UFO design.

Sounds fine man, just give them time

Once they start branching you will notice much faster daily growth, but for now they are only little so growth is slow.

Keep posting pictures, interested to see how it turns out!

I am not sure about growth rate with NFT but I grow dwc and in my opinion they are very small for 2 weeks but like everyone else sadi health is more important than growth rate.

This was the first day in the tank? Prior to this they were germinated in starters than grodan block. So I wouldn't say it has anything to do with NFT growth rate. If they are small for their size, it would be my inexperience with soilless medium or this UFO light sucks! I appreciate your honesty and if I am doing something wrong, I want to catch it early

This is my first grow in soilless medium and NFT. If you could offer any advice on what I was doing wrong in the first two weeks, I could really use the help for the next grow. Used Rootit sponge starters to germinate, kept them moist not wet with 5.5 Ph water and Rhizzotonic. One week in started adding growth nute at 1m/ litre, all along I have had LED lighting 20/4. Once roots were coming out of the starter sponge 1/2" they went into 3" Grodan rockwool blocks. I followed the instructions for conditioning and watering straight from the Grodan website. Should I have been adding a more concentrate mix of nutes? Any suggestions on what I could do differently, I would really appreciate.

Just wanted to say that your advice was and prediction was correct. This is after two days in the tank!
