Did I do something wrong ?! Did I get a dud?! What the hell is going on.

Original haze X northern lights cross said 75% original haze 25% nl.

Little smell finally, huge buds very airy with little to no resin... been going since Feb 17.

Is she a dud? Or she just need lots of time or what?

Yea I would say you needed to lower your lights or something, what's your temps?...its not near done yet, honestly though that's what many look like, good for hash, bad strain imo
Most of what I grow are landrace s.a. strains. Usually 14-18 for the more mex and up to 24-26 on some of my columbians

How did you get rid of the spider mites a few weeks ago? If you sprayed your buds with pesticides then this might be the issue with lack of trics

i just finished an ace seed purple haze/malawi grow that went 20 weeks and i noticed the same thing. the trichs were only 10% as much as my average hybrid but the high is just as intense and lasts a little longer. i noticed this when i grew some alaskan ice which is very sativa dominant. i think there are other compounds in sativas that contribute to the high.

Thanks for the replies.

The plant is jn a 3 X 6 foot closet. It's 5 feet tall. It's under a 400 W MH on 10/14 right now. (10 on 14 off).

The light is right above the plant and is as low as it could go. It's always 80-90 degrees and she never seems to have a problem.

For the mites I didn't spray her, I put in a hot shot pest strip for a week and it killed them for me.

I am just so divided. She's been going so long that I don't really even care anymore.

The lack of trichomes and light, airy buds is indicative of a pure saliva, though some strains do grow more dense buds. The O Haze is a cross of a ton of Sats, with most having super long flower times…the NL is thrown in as an Indica to shorten flower time I'd guess. I would bet you have a very Sativa phenotype, that and coupled with the stress of the mites has hindered her ability to flower as conditions have been less than ideal. Also, the point I was trying to make was, that being a very Sativa phenotype it may not get very covered in trichomes, similar to the old school Sativas, but it might still fuck you up. I would take a small lower bud and try it out, see what you think. This may be all you get from it.

Thanks for your input. I tried last week cutting lower branches so it could focus more on higher ones..

I quick dried them in a dehydrator and suddenly crystals appeared everywhere. I am hoping you are right and it still does the job proper, I didn't know what I was getting into when they sent me this freebie.

I have another mother of supreme going at a different location and the bud formations smells and resin are totally different and that one is a whole month older.

At this point... what should I do? Wait a whole not her month and see if she produces more resin or cut and BHO the whole thing?

I think at this point removing the lower branches is just going to hinder growth even more. I would probably chop her down, after a smoke test. You can always BHO it as you mentioned. Just a lesson learned is all.

From the pics I would do another 4 weeks

Yes pics would be great, makes many posts and albums useless. Unfortunately with the new site layout all that was lost.. even though they supposedly have it all and was what we were waiting forever for when they put this version up. They've refused to comment or make any changes in some months.....

Sorry a little rant.

Most of my 20+ strains look pretty similar. Don't settle for that much fluff and leaf though, many of my strains like to be light bleached and get super chunky.
I've had colas 8in in diameter .
I've had buds look like dreads And completely useless as well. Haze strains are shit, like they are bred to grow poorly. No landrace grows like that naturally. I have some that grow like straight vines. Some that are mostly stem with a good half inch between calyxes.some won't frost much some will be covered. With these heavy sativa its all about phenos imo. Many great strains you just can't get properly. You want to throw a great sativa get you some brick weed. Seriously. You should also keep in mind the composition of the trichomes is different, amount of wax and flavorful compounds are much higher in indicas.

As mandy1 said, far leaning sativa dominant plants can produce small amounts of tricomes and still give a great high. Snowhigh from Snow High Seeds even puts that in the description of some of his landrace sativa strains.

I'd wait until it's ready like qwizoking said.

There are some landrace sativa strains where the tricomes won't amber and they'll just keep throwing flowers in spurts. Those ones are ready when the tricomes are cloudy/milky and they slow down or stop throwing out new pistols. Just FYI in case yours acts in like manner.
