1200w Soil ScroG 1st Indoor Grow

So I'm starting this journal for my first ever indoor grow. I've helped with a couple outdoor grows, nothing crazy, but this will be my first time in control of everything. I'm going to be doing a u-ScroG in a 3x8 cabinet with 2-600w lights. The clones will first be rooted and vegged in a 2x3 box with 2-105w cfl's and a 13w cfl. This will shorten their time in the main box, since the previous crop will be in there for a couple months. If you haven't and would like to, go to my Grow Box Build thread.

I'll be growing Strawberry Cough, Super Silver, and Purple Kush. I just picked up the clones on Monday and got them into soil. That day, my roommate decided the house was too cold and turned off the a/c, and my grow room got up to about 94 for a couple hours. And tuesday morning he decided to play with the light and it ended up resting on one of the super silver's for about an hour before I got home. So they've been a little stressed and haven't fully recovered. Not off to a great start. I also think they may have a nutrient deficiency (P and Mg). You guys tell me what you think. As I said, first ever indoor grow and I didn't really know that much from the outdoor I've done. I'm doing as much reading as I can, but symptoms are so similar.

It looks like you have your work cut out for you. They seem to have differing degrees of stress from heat and nute burn. A crazy collection of plants. It can be a challenge growing different strains on the same screen - genetics can be a real trip once they start filling in. Good luck with them.

I don't see how they could have nute burn. I transplanted the clones into 1 part seedling starter mix 3 parts plain topsoil. Used Superthrive as a root stimulator and no other nutrients until this morning, I gave a very weak concentration of tomato plant food hoping that helps. Heat would make more sense but how come the top leaves are the healthier ones? They're closer to the light and should therefore have more burn I'd assume.

Perhaps the person you got the clones from pushed the nutrients too hard initially. Different strains have different tolerances for what they will tolerate. As you said, the symptoms can present in a similar fashion.

Could be. I just haven't seem them show improvement in 3 days. New growth is happening though, not extremely fast, but they're just rooting into soil so I'm happy with any growth that happens.

Also, should I just clip the top off the burnt silver? It looks like it's just oging to drop it off soon anyway

Here's some pictures I took last night. Plants aren't really looking, worse, but not looking better. I fed them today by mixing some of the granular fertilizer I have into a bottle of water. Hopefully that gets the nutes to them faster, I do believe it's a deficiency after a bunch of research.

Id be shocked if you dont have spider mites, based on pic #11. Those bastards cause all kinds of problems

I had spider mites...sprayed neem oil w soap and havent seen any since. I'm gonna hold back on spraying too often as suggested and spray again this thurs.

So I went out today and got some ocean forest soil, filled my 3gal pots, and transplanted the little ladies into them after flushing the 1gal pots they were in. Most had decent root development suprisingly, although some were lacking a little bit. I can't fit the 3gal's in my smaller box so I transferred them over to my scrog box.

I'm hoping the fresh start with good soil and no ph worries will let them recover and get onto a better growth pattern.

So it's the third day of being in the new soil and pots, ladies are looking much better. Some pretty decent new growth is happening, some of the leaves recovered, and I clipped off a few that were on their way to falling off.

Found about an inch of new growth on a couple of the girls today, specifically the Super Silver. PK is starting to fill back in nicely, and the SC is getting some new growth too.

Decided my one SS being 6-8" taller than everything else was gonna get to be a problem, so I LST-ed it. Here's a couple pictures

She seems like a good plant to train too, mid-section internodes were pretty long so this will help fatten up that part of the plant. I'm excited to see it respond.

Woke up today and found a tiny bit of nute burn on a couple SC younger leaves. "Morning" for the girls is tonight for me so I'm gonna wait until then and water, extra water for the SC so I can hopefully dilute a little bit of the FFOF nutrients. I'll try to put up pics later.

I was about to ask if you have taken a real close look at the bottom of your leaves. It does look an awful lot like mites in some of the pics.

edit: didnt see page 2 oops. if your room is well vented to outside you might want to look into hot shot pest strips. The neem is not gonna rid the plants of mites but only slow them down slightly.

One step ahead of ya bud I got a pest strip 2 days ago. Guess i forgot to mention that on here. And so far so good, no new damage or live mites seen. I give a pretty thorough inspection every day.

Is the tomato fertilizer your using organic? If not then you need a ph meter, and if it is then you are applying too much if your burning your plants. A lot of generic tomato nutrients cover the npk spectrum 10-10-10 or 20-20-20 something like that. Well of course if you see numbers higher than 10 on the bottle then of course its synthetic and a choice needs to be made now if you want to go organic or synthetic.
If you don’t have the money for commercial nutrients then go ahead a find a bag of guano (High “N&#8221

at a nursery or craigslist a farmer might have some for sale. A nylon sock, bucket of water and set it in there for a few days, stirring the water by hand every now and then, aerating the solution by hand. This should get you by until you get your nutrients together. Let me know your nutrient situation and we can get you sorted out.
It really seems as if you’re watering too often. I’ve counted 3 times water to include the watering with transplants. If I’m right then you’re over watering. In two gallon containers I might water once a week, especially in veg and early flower. But you had these clone since the 22nd and I would believe that you should only be at one transplant and two waters tops.
Lastly if you have mites right now, then go ahead and bomb the place. The neem oil is good to use, just make sure your applying before lights come on and lights go out. But you need to bomb in order to eliminate any mites. You also should scrub everything in that grow area included meters and bottles with bleach water.

I already mentioned that I stopped using the tomato food. Not trying to f*ck with it anymore. I had some and figured while I waited on my FF nutes I'd give it a whirl. never again cheaping out on soil, nutes, or water quality. FF nutes are here, plants are in FFOF and have plenty of everything from that. And youre correct, I have watered the plants 3 times including transplant. They're 3gal pots though and it's also been 2 full weeks as of tonight. Thats only every 5 days, they are typically dry an inch deep as of late day 3, so 2 days later I know the whole pot is dry. They don't look overwatered, I know the typical droopy look they get. And as mentioned I already took care of the mites, no signs of any in the area in over a week without spraying.

I appreciate the input, but I feel like you didn't read the whole thread. I took care of most of the stuff you talked about.
