1200 watt Tent, Exhaust Setup Help.

I was wondering if anyone else is running two 600s in a tent that wouldnt mind showing pictures of there exhaust setup, carbin filter, and if the inline fans are pulling or pushing air. My first grow was with a 400, I realize thats not enough after first grow, so now moving up, the whole venting and exhaust setup is new to me though. Didnt need it with a 400. Id just like to see exactly the whole routing of the tent and how its done for two 600s in a tent. +rep

I dont, I run one, with a cool hood on, and the ventilation pulling hot air out the room, through a carbon filter, pass the hood/bulb and out the ventilation ..




hood`s would be placed between filter and ventilation ..

here is mine:



filter is not connected yet as Im in Veg and they don't stink yet (filters have a life time on a year roughly, so why run it when not necessary)
place the outlet/ventilation up high as hot air travels up, try to place the intake at the bottom for fresh/cool air, in most cases a passive intake (a few holes 2-3x the size of the ventilation) is enough (make sure to make em light proof)


IMO a 8 inch ventilation is what your looking for if you want to run 2x600W a speed control (cost a bit more) would be N01 as it allow you to turn it down if necessary (what your looking for is a bit of underpresure/negative presure so you know all air going out is through your filter for odor control)

Ok let me get this straight, Carbon Filter>>>Hood>>>Duct>>>Hood>>>8 Inch Inline Fan>>>Duct>>>Heat goes outside the tent, and there shouldnt be any odor ? and should i get the 8 inch carbon filter, and also dont the carbon filter have a fan in it to suck the odor out the tent?

yes you got it right, and yea the filter have to match the ventilation, atleast, if smaller it can curse problems, sumthing like this:



tho thats a 6 inch set, like the one I use for one 600W

there is a way to calculate it in CMF (agin try to google) need to empty your room every 1-5 minutes, 1 if you in a small room with a big HID light and high temperatures ..

remember ventilation serves multiple purposes, it will both provide your plants with fresh air/co2 witch is so important for a healthy grow, and with out you risk mold aso.
secconly it will make you able to control temperatures useing a high wattages light, and third, odor control with a filter added, you will experience 99% odor free ..
