12/12 ?

Is there a preflowering stage or do i just start the countdown for the flowering weeks already? I heard i should give it two weeks then start the flowering countdown from when i switch to 12/12. Whats your take as i dont want my plants to be extremely couchlocked if i give them a preflowering stage when i am not suppose to and i am growing indica/sativa hybrids...

Most people count from day one of 12/12. I just found that out a few day ago. Others wait till signs of sex, then start counting.

flowering starts when you switch to 12/12...count from then. days really dont matter tho. you need to get a $13 pocket scope from radio shack and start checking trichs at day 55. when they are mostly cloudy you can decide whether to harvest or let the trichs turn amber a lil and harvest then...cloudy trichs=heady high, amber trichs=body/heavy high

Your question is a bit confusing. Preflowering does not have an effect on the couchlockiness (new word - I just made it up) of your bud. If you want to start flowering, start the 12/12 cycle. You will eventually see "preflowers", and then it will begin full blown flowering presuming you have a female. When it's time to harvest, however, you can potentially time it so your bud will have a more "up" or "heady" type of high as opposed to a couchlock type of high. The darker the trichomes get, the more couchlockiness of your bud.

when you are happy that your babys are mature, or ready to start Flowering, you start 12/12 Lights.
It will take 2 to 3 weeks to show preflowers and sex. For the first week to ten days after starting 12/12, you stay on GROW or VEG nutes, then switch to Flowering or BLOOM nutes.

i started mine flowering on july 7th.. they are 12 daze in to it.. i had three males already that i got rid of.. i know i have at least two girls n hope the last one is also.. so far all three have preflowers also.. is this a good time to give bloom nutes to them???

I have a couple plants that were 18/6 while my new batch caught up and were ready for 12/12. So, I have some plants that simply vegged longer and are bushier and some that are scrawnier but all are now on the same cycle..

Interesitng that they are all flowering nicely and the ones that I let veg longer are far heartier than the ones I kicked off on 12/12 at four weeks..

/first timer, learning and loving all the knowledge i get here.
