i put a seed straight into 12/12 and its fairly small, about an inch and it already has hairs? does that mean that it will only grow 1 bud and stop growing thus no more bud sites?

an inch tall with preflowers? i'd like to see pics if you can take some. I've always wanted to experiment with 12/12 from seed just for fun. You might just get one bud or more depending on the strain.

edit: yeah your best bet is to reverg her and let her get about a foot tall before switching back to 12/12 if you want a decent amount of smoke...

I just finished my first 12/12 from seed two males, failure, really don't want to do a 12/12 from seed again I was never pleased with their development.

12/12 from seed sucks! their is a 12/12 from seed grow club on here some where and they claim to get plants up to 52in and get decent bud. so i went ahead and tried it out! ( never again ) stick with ethet 24/7 20/4 or 18/6 i do 18/6 cuz i belev plantz need some time to rest!! ( but to each his own ) peace out bro

I think conditions play a big part along with the light that is used. Some prefer to veg for 2 weeks under florescent first before you go to 12/12. I think it helps with the F to M ratio a bit better. Check out this forum on it. Some great information and successful grows as well.

First time trying it myself. Here are the first ones I started. Two weeks old when I posted this.

damn bro mine didnt look like that when i tried 12/12 from seed. i have different lights for my plants i norm. put my plants under 250 watt mogul cfl for my veg. and 250 watt hps for my flower. but i figured since i was tryin 12/12 from seed it would be in flower the whole time so i didnt bother with the 6500k spectrum i just put my hps over it. mybe that was to much for it!! hell mybe i should give it one more shot!! peace out

I have noticed that a few of them are getting a bit too hot from the 1000hps at first sign of water leaves also. If you set them under floros just to get them going a bit it wouldn't hurt. Also if you put them under 4 bulbs, floro within one inch of the bulbs for one month, I will GUARANTEE female pre flowers 90% of the time. I am getting 100% with this method, but saying 90% just to be safe. 24/0 for one month under floros first, with them almost touching the bulbs. You'll have to move the light daily but who cares when you have a pulley system.
