12/12 from seed

on my next crop im planning on doing the SOG method. 30 plants in 1 gal under 400w hps. only reason for this is to save time. im wanting to get around 8 ounces every 2 months.

does anyone do 12/12 from seed? no veg time
 
one of the benefits of then all might 24 on is that you can control the height and potential yield of the plant. if youre in a rush do 24 on until you are 40 days from your planned havest, youll get generally 15%-20% more growth when you switch to your 12/12 flowering and have a merry time.
 
also crikit you said 30 under 400w is not a lot unless you have a light mover or a chain of cfl all around them as a supplement. max harvest needs max light and patience.
 
yeah i do the SOG sometimes, at least one week veg. with sativa, don't know with inducia maybe 12/12 from seed.:peace:
 
sog to young = one cola total , i suggest at least 4 nodes before 12 12 unless your cool with 4-5 grams. veg time is important
 
pre plant your only looking at anywhere from 4.5g to 10g. but they need to have afew nodes:joint:
 
i have a plant that only 10 inches high that has like 12 nodes under enviro's so ule be alright if u luck out on a good phenotype.
 
hi, i'm thinking of starting straight from 12/12 after about a week of veg. i know it depends on strains and stuff but can anyone venture a guess of how long it will take to begin flowering. i'm using a 400w MH lamp as well if it helps.
 
i planted seeds about 5/6 days ago and theyre just over an inch now. My problem is my strain says it takes 10-11 weeks to flower. But im going on holiday for three weeks at the end of June meaning to get the full 10-11 weeks id have to start flowering on the 17th of April. I was worried this would fuck my plant up, but i gues not? i know i wont get max yeild at all but it is ok to do this?
 
ye but i'd give it one extra week just in case cos u wouldnt want to go on holiday if your plants arent ready. also have you thought about curing, i dont know a lot about it personally bur i've read the best weed is cured slowly. have you got anyone who can take care of ur plant or help cure it cos u need to burp them every now and then once they're in containers.

try fimming if you can, will increase ur yield or perhaps start flowering a week early. i'm a newbie grower so i don't know how useful this information is :roll: but i've done a fair share of reading.
 
alright cheers, may try a week early then, although i cant see my plant being over 3 inchs tal if i do that. I have someone who could look after them while drying/ curing, just hope he doesnt nick any while im away... I'm thinking of starting another plant soon so i can get the full use out of it, meaning it'll go into flowering about 4 weeks before i go on holiday, get my mate to look after it while im away, then i'll be back for the final weeks of its development.
 
Here's a very good thread with alot of info and pics of plants grown 12/12 from seed with different lighting setups. Alot of the plants yeilded a very good amount for the style of growing. Obviously less than a veg'ed plant, but with many plants in the same space the yeilds seem good. Plenty of them getting ~1oz dry per plant.

First off I think someones missing something, doesnt really sound like SOG to me, sounds like hes gonna plant 30 beans in 1g pots and run a 12/12 right off rip. thats not a SOG. thats a less than ideal way of trying to cut corners to save time.
 
If you are really doing a SOG, whats your mother room set up? you good at cloning?
I'm not trying to be a dick, just sounds like you heard a term and are mis-using it.

true. SOG is when the plants are in different stages as well so u get a steady harvest every 2 weeks or so.

Most, if not damn near all strains arent going to be ready after 40 days of 12/12. thats less than 6 weeks. unless of course you have some mega-super bud that youve been holding out from us. you dirty dog.
