12/12 from seed vs autoflower

I'm basically old school photoperiod, soil hps, and whatnot. But have been testing rdwc, led's, cfl's..etc. given that it seems they can bloom faster with shorter plants, ideal for most urban grows...which is better, autoflower strain, or doing 12/12 from seed of a great photoperiod strain?

I believe that it all depends on the strains but some photos are just too damn good to be beat by an auto in the potency. Potency isn't sacrificed by the 12/12 just the yeild. Even with a 12/12 from seed you have about 30 days of veg regardless so if its speed your looking for then autos all the way.

It's a fine line isn't it? Speed vs yield vs time.. Oh time....four sometimes five months is a long time....
