Hey guys.. after a slow start, there beginning to shoot up pretty quick (most of the growth you see in the pictures has been in the past 3 days or so ..pretty amazing i thought).. had a question as to why my best looking plant is leaning sideways... was guessing it was the point of the most light, but i moved the cup around so the other side faced the side with least light ... have a gentle breeze on it most of the day.. at this stage is it ok to use a tooth pick or some wire to prop it up..
2012-12-17_09-09-56_93.jpgalso I'm using cfls and is it common for plants to be short like this (guessing its better than stretching :D) ... and is it better to have your nodes this tightly bunched?
2012-12-17_09-10-08_433.jpg AND... does it look like I should be transplanting soon.. seen some a lot bigger than mine and still in there cups.
probably start nutes in the next 8-10 days.

looking good, maybe overwatered, hence the downward curve to the leaves, but for 11 days, looking good. (how the tables have turned, me giving advice rather than receiving it lol)
with transplanting, as long as you dont do it more than once or twice, you should be ok

Haven't watered in a atleast 2 almost 3a full days now they been doing it more since she is leaning...put some string in the side to prop him up surprised I had too sinceu she always has a fan blowing on them.

one of my plants is growing like yours, but is growing slow and even droopy (like yours) becuase the soil is too wet

next watering, drizzle some compost (direct food and full of biota) on top of the rocks and water it in.

when plants are underwatered they will wilt. i wait for mine to just start wilting before i water and theyre growing very fast now

K thanks for advice...but must be holding water pretty good when I do water I don't put much in at all water doesn't even run out the bottom. But ill hold up ..guess I only need to water every 5 days or somthing..be moving up to alot larger pots too maybe 5 gal..hope I can wait till after Christmas since ill be out if town back n forth and rather not have something go wrong if I'm gone for a day or 2. ( think ill try to wait for wilt and try that out ...what type of nutes do u use ..I have one I'm gonna add to watering..is it better to only water with that every other watering?)

"A large pot that was saturated before germination may hold enough moisture for the first two to three weeks of growth."

this is why we start with small pots, to help us control the moisture. if youre confident that you can control soil moisture well, you can start in a big/final pot.

i would use compost to feed the plant. i mix compost in my soil before i plant, and then add some on the top of the soil and water it in once during flower. my compost directions reccomend once every 8 weeks, and you know that manufactures always suggest that you use more and more frequently than necessary becuase they want to move more product. compost has biota/flora/soil life that will continuously repopulate itself and decompose and feed the plant.

if you use chemical nutes, this will kill off soil life and require you to feed almost once a week, and itll become depednant on the chemical. i like to think of it like synthetic hormones effect on our body. mutates us, makes us less fertile, and makes us dependant.

There's two that I've seen around..not much to choose from around here but its cow compost or mushroom ...

take your pick! some people use fish emulsion, some use mushrooms, all are things that are organic matter, and are being decomposed by 'good' fungus and bacteria as we speak.

these microbes will populate your soil when you add them, and not only help feed the plant but also protect the soil from bad virus and bacteria.

i use chicken manure

O great I might try fish emulsion where i work we sell a bottle of it for pretty cheap.. just didn't know if it would work good since its only 5-1-1...(was bored... figured I'd smell it when I was at work ...holy crap i almost threw up lmao), looks like the type u add to ur water supply.. I'll have to read it more.

that will work more than fine.

i use a 1-1-1 product for veg and flower.

it doesnt really matter that much, as long as theres no 0's and that its not 1000-1-1 because that can burn plants
i smelt mine the first time too. it was awful lol :spew:

lol.......Great I'll pick some up 2marrow and maybe try it later this week...THANKS for all the help man appreciate it!!
