Well...
I have been flowering now for 10 whole weeks, today exactly and my two plants keep plumbing out (buds getting fatter and fatter) and then the smell!! :hump:

Three weeks ago I thought it had to be short till harvest, maybe a week or two, so I started flushing. First with 25% nuts., and then just with pure pH balanced water. Now I have been flushing for over three weeks and there are obvious signs of the flush and malnourishment, most all the big leafs have curled up and lost some or most of their color so the flushing is on track. But that has not affected the plants "will" to swell up even more!

To put an "forced" end to this grow, about 10 days ago, I started to shorten the day in the light cycle. From the normal 12/12 first to 10/14 and then to 8/16 and now I'm finally at 5/19 [Day/Night]. I thought this could not harm the plant, cause it just simulates the natural day/night cycle in the fall and beginning of winter, and therefor must put the plants in their end face. Not to my surprise, it hasn't harmed the plants or the flowering process and has, as planed, pushed the plants to their final, final end face.
It has forced it to bloom even more, in the following days of messing with the light cycle, the plants started pushing out fresh batch of calyxes and hairs started plumbing out from them and the already hairy buds are now mixed and have lots of old amber hairs and then a new fresh batch of hairs, just out of their calyxes couple of nights ago. And those are the last of the last that the plant has to offer.

Then for the last 3 nights now, I have been ready to harvest every night, and always backed out after taking a closer look at the plant, looking at the hairs and trich's, always thinking it can go a little further... one more night, one more night

So I want to ask...

*Has anyone else experienced with messing with the light cycle in the end of flowering like that?

*The trichomes on the leafs of the buds are about 60/40 haze/brown, but the trich's on the caylixes have just shown a 1/10 ratio at best.. Is that normal? Shouldn't the trichs
on the calyxes(flowers) be changing color too? (only experienced harvesters comment on that please)

*And then, what do ya' think of the two, sleeping beauty, fridge dwellers? :weed:

...peace!

very interesting concept. how many days would you keep with one light cycle before you switched to a diff. light cycle?

Damn man, nice job.... did you grow that out of a mini-fridge or a regular sized fridge? I have never heard of switching up the lighting at the end of flowering.... very interesting... do u have pictures of the plants before you started messing with the light schedule? anyways nice grow, hope you cure it right and enjoy a wonderful smoke :peace::mrgreen:

some people swear by changing the light cycle. im gonna give it a try too. doing my first grow at the moment and experimented with 36h of darkness before switching to 12/12.
