Hey I've been using my 400 and having been too impressed with my yields. I'm looking into adding a 1000watt, can I expect my electricity bill to spike? Will be running 12/12.

the national average charge by your utility company is $0.15 per kilowatt hour (kWh). a 400w light on 12/12 uses 144,000watts in 30 days. that is 144kWh per 30 days. so, based on the average charge you are paying about $21 a month to run your 400w light. if you use a 1000w light then you will be using 360kWh per month. based on the average that would cost you $54 a month. so your bill will go up about $30.

all of this is based on the national average. some places pay as low as $0.06 cents and others as high as $0.24. just check your next electric bill and it will tell you what you pay per kWh.

good luck.

+1 to this.

I pay about 35 to 30 cents kwh right now, just to run a 1000w, and 600w light in the summer.$$ fucken ac!

In winter I was paying 15 to 20 cents a kwh:clap:, no ac running

Nuclear plants tend to have the highest cost per kw/h. Where I'm at it's .08c per kw/h. Coal power haha. In the winter time it drops to .06c per
