1000 watt vs 400 watt

I run a 400 watt hps-mh on my 2x2 flood table which works good.I only grow 4 plants at a time.
Would a 1000 watt be overkill for my size table?
Would they grow faster and produce better yield and quality bud?
Im hoping that my plants would kick double ass with more light.

of course it will do better all around but you would do best with a 4x4-5x5 table or atleast scrog so you have a bigger canopy

just look at some of the 400w grows and some 1,000w grows on this site the difference is clear as day

Gonna need to get rid of some heat too.I still wanna keep only 4 plants though.

for a 2x2 space there is no way it will be worth the electricity running a 1000watt. at the max a 600watt and even that is overkill but its a much better option than a 1000watt in a space that size.

i mean most hoods for 1000watts are bigger than 2x2

These are the coverage areas if you want to produce nice fat dense rock hard nugs.

150w--1x1
250w--1.5
400w--2x2
600w--3x3
750w--3.5
1000w--4x4

For your space i would keep your 400w and when you get a bigger space buy a air cooled 1000w
Then setup a perpetual veg with 400w and flower with the 1000w to you can veg and flower at the same time in different spaces.
