1000 watt streching??

I have a new setup in a closet, My hood is air colled but Iam yet to get a intake fan so for heat purporses I have the light 2-3 feet away from the plants( dependin on the hieghts of the plants) my question is that even thought I will soon get the fan I dont want the growth under the 1000 now to be streched now, will it?

is it a 1000 watt MH? It shouldnt because the lumens are strong enough to keep em low

no its a HPS but thats whagt Iam hoping is happening
