1000 watt light question +rep for replies

just bought a 1000 watt light system and ballast with a Sunmaster Cool Deluxe mh bulb from my buddy for 150 bucks. and he threw in another sunmaster warm deluxe bulb for flowering. i plugged it into my timer that ive been using for the T5 lights and my cfls and it kinda shorted out made an interesting noise... so i wont do that again. hahaha. is there a special sort of timer that i need for an HID? anyhow my plants are only 2 weeks old from seed and on their 3rd set of fan leaves. should i wait to through them under this light? if i do how far should the light be from them?

I run a 1000 watter, 430, and t5's..

Works like a charm


You can run the 1000 on your plants.. There big enough.. keep the light a good distance(3'+) til they adjust..
