1 week from planting (look at pics)

How come they seem so small. Its been a week and theyre around 3 inches tall or 8 cm. Should they be bigger??

Im new 2 this but im sure that a 32w fluro is a load of shat ??!
I went for a HPS 250w , and after 7 days they were alot bigger than that.

you need more lite
Sounds like what's happening, is you don't have enough lumens reaching your plants. A 32w is more than enough for two seedlings, but you may have your light to far away. You want that type of light one inch away from them at all times.
However. alot of strains strecth to 3-4 inches at the same stage, it just happens. That's why you plant in a party cup filled 3/4ths the way so you can bury the stem at a later time
P.S.- As long as you have 25w per square foot for veg you'll be fine. For flower, you really wanna get yourself an HPS with 50w per square foot, but if not then shoot for around 75-100w flourescents per squarefoot.

Hey man you can vegg some decent plants with cfl's. They have their place. I can't find any pics at earlier stage but here are pics of my plant at 20 days using only 1 23w cfl per plant.(Those are 6 inch pots!!!)
HPS is the shit for flowering though...

Just as I thought. Even still, I'm astonished at the tight veg growth. I knew CFLs were good, but not that good.
Well there you go, nicbelliz. Fill up the soil around your baby and bring that light down really close. Probably around four inches until she (well, hopefully a she) has more foliage.

Nicebelliz why didnt you go for a hanging reflector with a hard wired ballast and free bulb, it seems to work out cheaper , depends what you want tho eh !?

I'm growing with CFL's right now too, and I hope that they look as good as yours. How about writing a tutorial on growing with CFL's as to what to expect, exactly what to buy, where to place them, how your grow room is set up, etc... I know something like that would help me a TON, and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
