Title explains it, real S.O.G with not much light penetrating the canopy. Im just playing around with my new camera, trying macro, with and without flash, but I think I will get better pics with the HPS off and cfl's on. This crop makes me happy but my camera disapoints me...... at least its water resistant for up to 30m and shockproof. Week 4 flowering, all white queen clones off my mother.

They look sick man, can we see you cooling setup, and more details on your whole setup, +rep JR

right now I am using a 50 gallon plastic trash can filled with RO water. I have 3 rooms like this one and not currently using a water chiller but about to drop about $2k on a 2 ton water chiller =), I also plan on using the heat exchangers for all the intake air to be cooled also. I am definetly going overboard with the chiller but Id rather be running my chiller at 50% capacity than 100%. I do not use any kind of air conditioning or de-humidifier, instead I live near the beach where the weather is always nice. Although this summer is going to be a hot one, I may have root issues if I do not get a water chiller. avg day temps 23C-26C, avg day humidity 60-70%. currently I get between 2-3lbs per light and hoping for more when I find a more willing strain to take off in my aeroponics box.

Here's my other room I started all from seeds. Greenhouse seed co.'s uk cheese, bubba kush, NYC sour Diesel and Mr Nice Guy's Super Silver Haze, Critical Mass, and Devil. Also 3 Black Widows in there also. I started all of these in light warrior seedling soil then transplanted them to my aeroponic box(bad idea btw) after finally coming back under T5's I am vegging them under the HPS to see which strain really stands out. suprisingly the greenhouse seeds aren't the strongest, Mr nice guys super silver haze and critical mass just might love my custom aeroponics boxes. Also the Black Widow seems to be pretty happy. So far only one is male that I can tell but lights are still on 18/6 for now.
p.s the weakest plants in there are the cheese's, maybe its not a strain that favors aeroponics? and theyre all sideways because when they were in ez cloner they grew away from each other.

Thanks it takes a lot of money too! haha! I could of bought a lot of weed for what Ive paid to grow it, but its the gift that will keep on giving. Anyways I got one more room thats getting setup right now with more white queen clones that have been alive for 6 months now and ready for action. My Veg room is my fourth room where I keep mothers, clones, and going to be vegging in there also once I get my other strains established. Ill keep an update but its hard to do a grow journal when I already have so much going on already dont know where to start.

each room is 10'X5'X8'h, I use 3- 6" S&P inline fan(very efficient fan) sucking through a hydrohut carbon filter that blows into each of the rooms then a 6" exaust at the top corner of the room. all 3 rooms(3-6" exaust) meet together into one 8 inch duct which I have another exaust I can turn on just in case I need to suck hot air out, which I never do so the positive pressure of my room expells the exaust out my 8" duct another 16' where I have a 8" inline ozone generator to kill any garden smell, then it exits right by my front door. I have approx 30 ft of 8" ducting after the ozone generator so that it will have maximum effect. Ive had cops right at my door asking about neighbors making noise when my garden was in full bloom blowing right in their faces! Its a great feeling knowing theres no odor outside my grow rooms.

sounds complicated lol. rite so my area is goin to about 4 x 8 x 8 now would 2 x 6" extraction fans be anuf do you recon and 2 x 4" intake fans thanks for the help bro

sounds like plenty of moving power, what cfm are your fans? I personally like to push my air in, I would run 1 of each size on each intake and exaust. I dont know what fans you have but if you cant seperate them I would put the bigger fans on the intake side. try just running the intake by itself thereby forcing hot air out the top where your exaust should be mounted. see where the temp stays at and have the exaust ready to kick on if it gets hot.

updated pic.. week 5, nighttime shots with flash and w/o HID lighting on. :joint:Enjoy :)

Hey Urban

Everything is looking good and going well for you.
I tried the Aero grow and gave it up as it was frustrating me and didnt have the time to troubleshoot correctly.
You mentioned you get 2-3 # per Light.......
And my understanding is you have 1 x 1000 watt HPS light. Right?
So your telling me you get up to 1.34g per watt........Thats AWESOME!!!!

How long do you Veg for?
How many plants is the 1000 watt covering in what are ( ie 20 plants 1.2m x 2m )?

Willl definately be following your grow closely.
Might motivate me to get off my ass and clean my Aero system thats sitting there dirty from the last grow and load it up with some clones.

Looking forward to some more updates.....

Did you make your system? What's holding the roots? You have a net pot?
The thing about the aeroflo system I use is that some of the roots do sit in the water esp. once th eplant is a decent size. I am assuming your roots stay suspended? I could be wrong - it looks that way to me.

Nice set up!

I veg for 3 weeks once clones get roots, I use 1- 1000 watt on a light mover for 35-40 small plants that are lollipopped in veg and once again in week 3 of flowering. I just harvest this crop and got 1-3/4lbs, had some signs of herms so i pulled a week early(9weeks) instead of 10 weeks. Good smoke but Im still not happy with my yield as I have had better with other strains.

I made my system using plastic containers from home depot that I painted black then white, coppied the hyrdofarm aeroboxes design on piping and sprayer location. I use 5 gallon buckets as ressys, which I am swithing to 1-20 gallon rubbermaid container that I am putting in a seperate Air conditioned bathroom. Many people fail at aeroponics, reservoir tempatures in aerponics is crucial! anything above 68degrees is almost always fatal, this is why my last harvest sucked I had res temps at 75 degreez and had root rot issues. I use 2inch foam net pots, then cut the basket part off and he roots are suspended in the air.

How exactly does your system work? I don't understand how you can have a res in a different room than the aeroponics, does it not flow back into the res? You should post a DIY of how to make one of these things, they look badass!
