02 supplement?

Everyone knows it is beneficial to add co2 during the light stage. Any experiments done with adding o2 to the atmosphere while in the dark period? Would this be any good?
 
I've considered using compressed oxygen to aerate a reservoir, but even the wildest improvements in yield would not justify the cost. It would be reserved for a stunt grow like trying to post a record yield per kWh or something. cn

haha. Yeah i know about the dangers. Was only curious about if it was around 23% or so. Would be kinda expensive yes. You wouldn't add it with the light on anyways, room would be vented before lights cme on. Just wondering is all. :)
 
Also, oxygen won't explode by itself. O2 and grease will explode, not o2 and a spark. It might make that spark a little brighter, and burn up your lights and wiring and such, or end up burning your house down,but there will be no explosion. That is only in the movies.
 
ahhh my bad...misread...you are crazy lol...and wouldn't o2 flash and explode if the room was filled and the light fired up?
 
The movie, young doctors in love? The fellow was in a bubble thing with oxygen, and lit a smoke and blew himself up. haha funny! Would never happen though. In a acetylene/oxygen cutting torch, if too much oxygen is turned on, flame goes out. Stick a match to oxygen, and it will not burn. Oxygen just increases oxidation. A fire is just rapid oxidation. Just like rust. Rust is just real slow oxidation. An explosion is just rapid oxidation. Very rapid! lol Millions of years ago when the atmosphere was different and plants were huge, there was more co2 than now. That's why plants thrive in it. They grew up that way. Not sure what O2 levels were back then, but just curious. Maybe they were higher and plants would thrive even more in the dark period. Maybe O2 levels were lower back then, and an increase in O2 would hurt the plants. Who knows...:)
