Never posted on here but wanted to throw some pics up of some iso oils I have been making. Don't see many people doing it/ the right way. I think its good for people to see some alternate methods to try or think about. All pics are not fully purged but still in the process so please don't go crazy saying " that shit is not done" or anything related. Comments and criticism is encouraged. Peace guys and gals!IMG_0236.jpgIMG_0237.jpgIMG_0238.jpgIMG_0239.jpgIMG_0240.jpgIMG_0231.jpgIMG_0232.jpg

Warmachine, that's exactly what my last batch looked like. I did a 5 stage wash with ethanol at 45 sec each wash. It ended up with the consistency of a brown beer bottle and would literally shatter when I poked it with my dabber.

That's like this in a sense. It too shatters almost when poked with my dabber. Imma take a picture of the rest of the pan today (since I have to scrape it). I did actually roughly 40 seconds as well. That probably explains why it looks so similiar lol. Next batch I will probably just do 2 20 second agitations, first 20 second for the really good stuff and the shake wash will be to see if anything has remained (and if it is worth doing a 2nd batch, ever again).

nice job war. I always do two batches my first a 30 second, than another with slight agitation and i get great results. I prefer a more stable/ budder/honeycomb consistency than the shatter/snap and pull. Just my preference. The pan pic looks like it was starting the budder up. Ive bin hearing alot about this ethanol but I have not done much research on it. Care to enlighten the benefits of using ethanol as opposed to ISO or any other for that matter. Keep them commin guys and thanks!

Do you agitate for your 1st batch? I never really made a budder or honeycomb with ISO. Do you use a vacuum? I wish I could but I really don't know much about ethanol extraction, but this link should help a lotttt.

But from what I recall, the really isn't a benefit to much but more so people feel more at ease about it being a grain alcohol as opposed to a chemical alcohol.

I use a swirling motion but rely mostly on the freezing temps of the iso and cold material. I wouldn't even consider it agitation, that is left for the second batch and still very lightly on that one. I do not use a vac at the moment, but I can tell you that budder and honeycomb is definitely possible to make with iso and without a vac. I hope to get one soon tho. As to ethanol I guess its tomato/tom-ato..In my opinion it really comes down to the purge. Stay posted will be sharing alot more great iso

How do get a budder or a honeycomb stage? I plan to do a nug run next, not high quality but I think good quality enough.
