Yeah. His soil works. So do a million other combinations. I would just buy a pre-mixed like Roots 707 Organic.

isnt rock phosphate removed in his revised recipe?
yes. yes it is. I built my first supersoil based on the first recipe that called for rock phosphate. also the new recipe doesn't call for steamed bone meal. He has changed it to fish bone meal instead
I do have to say I notice a HUGE difference between the "original" and the "revised" the "revised" seems to last much longer with my plants. granted i've also started using compost teas sooooo that might have a little something to do with it. granted with the "original" recipe i did get a little burn at 30% SS maybe i didn't let it cook enough?

he took the cal phos out because of difficulty to get and he said he didnt see a difference. cal phos takes lots of fulvic acid andor time to become available. sub doesnt re-use soil so all the rocks ie azomite arent even available the first run, it needs to be recycled. one day he will listen to all those hoping he starts recycling. the numbers on the bone meal are the same. also original recipe is 6 bags revised is 8 its not the recipe that burnt ur plants. it was either the buffer or lack of cook time. and yes compost tea is going to make a huge difference. when u put fertilizer in the soil u r feeding the biology and they in turn feed the plant. by introducing more biology u get more creatures munching those nutes and they in turn make more readily food for the plants..

how much soil does the full mix make of super soil? like how much actual supersoil do you have when you have mixed together the ingredients? how many 7 gallons filled with 50% supersoil will it fill at the end of the day?

Cool I'm curious because I'm looking to grow a total of 10 plants but I want to use this super soil once I transfer out of cups....but will these measurements for smaller amounts product the same results?
