Oriah's Garden - SuperSoil TGA perpetual medical SCROG

Hello friends. Because of the way my garden is headed, to me it makes more sense to just have one thread where i have the whole thing. And sense i spend all of my time in Sub's room, i figured i might as well have it here as well. I am an ommp, with chronic back pain from a car accident, and i grow my own medicine. Ive learned the large majority of what i know about growing from select threads on roll it up. I owe a huge thank you to many, with a very large shout out to Subcool, as ive adopted his genetics, super soil and simple weed nerd ways as my own.

Scrog is my grow technique of choice, and ive gone with individual tents to make it happen. GL80's - 30" x 30" x 71", 400w CMH lights, 400cfm exhausts. Gnarly AC / heater / dehumidifier to keep the environment right. Air purifiers and fans about. Getting better all the time! Right now ive got 3 tents with lights and fans. Im going to be adding 100watts of T5's to the other 2, like i have with the first tent - My Jillybean girl currently at day 50:

... She started her life, veg, and the first 4 weeks of flower, with nothing but Flora Nova Bloom. But, as fate would have it, i ran out of bottled nutes just as the Super Soil i mixed up, came to its 6th week activation birthday. So i said to hell with it, why not start now. So ive been top dressing my roots soiless ( hydro media ) with it, and shes already the best Jillybean ive grown. Working out so the she'll have a nice pretty fade by day 60.

So i just finished up my Vortex pheno hunt. I cracked a 5 pack of Vortex, had 1 not make it out of the rapid rooter, and 1 male. So i had three girls, and ended up getting a pheno of each it seems. One totally Apollo-13 girl, one more indica leaning space queen-ish gal, and one great mix. I believe at this point im going to keep the mix, as she had the bud structure of the Apollo, but a more even growth pattern, and a really sour fruitiness that i cant describe. Awesome. Although that could change as they have just started to cure, so i haven't seen them at their best yet. That said, started a clone of the 50/50 pheno in my next tent, and she has been in there 18 days. 5 gal air pot, 2/3 super soil, roots base. 100% Organic baby! Waahooo!

Thanks very much friends!

My veg time is kind of my own count. See as per ommp law, i am only aloud 6 mature plants at a time. Mature being ether budding, or over 12". So what i do is when i find a pheno i like of a strain, i keep an under 12" bonsai mother plant that i take clones from. They live in my 8 bulb T5 clone/seedling/sub 12" veg box that i made. When im going to run a clone, i grow her straight up, pinching side branches, but leaving the large solar fan leaves, until she reaches about 10" tall. Then i top her, and leave only the top 4 main branches to go to the 4 corners of the scrog. When she starts to go again and gets to 12", she gets transplanted and goes into a tent and straight under the screen, and starts moving horizontally right away. This is when i start counting, as sometimes i may not now how long a particular clone has been rooted in the veg box. That jillybean girl took 25 days from the day i put her in the tent, to the day i flipped her. Pic 1 to pic 7, on my third post. quite a good run i think! lol

perfect!........i will make sure i focus on my vorties a bit more in my thread, so we can compare.....i am at 13 days flower.........i have to say, i wasn't too thrilled at the start with them, mostly because i have never grown such a sativa before....they were really lanky, and wimpy looking....real tempermental........but now 2 weeks in, they are quickly becoming my favs.......very cool plant......and three phenos....i am stoked..........so are ALL my peeps.......esp. after i show them the spread in DANK.......

......she will be perfect for scrog.....so many bud sites....just like in the description.

Heck ya nug, post em up! And yes i am expecting a little more stretch then JillyBean. Im closer the the floor with this one, and have more head room as well, so i believe ill have her space. But yes, i really like Vortex so far.... In fact, i do believe i will smoke a piece RIGHT NOW! .................

Hi Oriah, great grow, new to all this , what is the purpose of letting the clone grow to 10" or so, why not start em from the dirt, just wondering what I'm missing here...FTC

Hey MrGreenTooth! thanks a lot. I train them the way i do for a couple reasons. One is so i can water, top dress, and clean the understory of the canopy with ease. Two is so you get a lot less sub-screen growth, which would be totally blocked from the light and be super duffy anyway. Three, is i kinda think it works similar to Nugbuckets mainling idea. Not quite cuz in my case theres 2 "hubs" instead of one. Which i do believe i might see a growth difference between them...;-) It also reminds me of a large tree in the safari .... :eyesmoke:
