sagarmathas strawberry d lite..

now here comes a strain from a smaller co. that i don't here all that much about here on rui, but when looking for a nice sounding diesel cross, i happened to stumble upon sagarmatha's strawberry dlite.. description sounded awesome, but than again most of them do, lol.. nothing a good writer couldn't spin to sound like the newest killer kush coffee funk, but i decided to give it a grow anyhoo's.. strawberry cough x with a nice sour d was just too much to be passed up by me.. i sent out my money and got my beans.. i germed only one of the fems along with a couple of sannies chocolate rains and rps headband, and they grew into nice beautiful bitches that i chopped down after about 70 days i think it was.. dried and cured for 21 days yesterday..
smell... omg, nice friggin smell to these dried nugs of goodness.. that fuely funk that diesel is known for with a nice fruity undertone that really comes out on exhale.. i think that they should make candles that smell like this stuff it smells good.. would do alot to spread that xmas cheer around my parts for sure.. good stuff no doubt, only rises the anticipation to get the stuff in my grinder and into my bowl ...
bag appeal.. i always say it, and will say it again here.. for me, a big part of bag appeal always has to be smell, and this stuff smells the part.. but ok, other than smell, the nugs are nice hard two gram chunks of sugar coated thc.. nice red hairs round out the eye candy..
smoke.. i just took about a nice four or five roor hits of this stuff, and i feel great.. a nice calm has taken over my body, and my back that had been hurting me from laying around all day is nothing but a memory now that this bud has entered my blood stream...
i have a nice buzz about my body, and a slight energy that is making type this smoke report even though i've been putting it off for a week.. now that i sit back to think what to type next, i find myself glued to the couch, not wanting to move, my mind wonders, and i snap back to my smoke report... good stuff all around...
yeild.. i was a lil disappointed in the yeild of the strawberry d lite, but i think that i deserve some of the blame for this as i allowed the chocolate rains to kinda take over the whole garden, and this plant and the headband didn't get all of the light that they should have.. i still ended up with about an ounce and a half from the one plant of strawberry d, all together for the four plants a lil over six zips, most of it coming from the two choco rains though..
if given a lil more room to grow and more light, i think the yeilds would have been double what i got easily under the same 250 that i've been using, although i have just recently bought a digi dimmeable 250, 400 watter, things should be looking up for the next grow..
would you grow this strain again? surely, again and again and again, lol.. but dont have any plans to do so in the near future.. i'm always looking for that holy grail smoke and continue to try new varieties each grow till i come across that one that i've been looking for, which has been hard as i'm a sativa fan and have been growing alot of indicas to get my feet wet growing, and now that i think i now my way around a ph meter, i'm venturing onto some sativa's and hopefully will find my holy grail sooner rather than later..
recomended uses.. other than a rather nice stone that i really enjoy, strawberry d lite is also great for appetites as well as some moderate pain.. i've been asleep on the couch for the last 14 hours after a long week of work, and my back was bothering me.. after a few ripz on my roor, my back is no longer an issue and i'm awaiting my chinese food to get here.. so i'm out.. hope you enjoy the report...

thanks for the kind words heisenberg.. so far the holy grail still alludes me, that is why i keep cracking new beans every grow in search of that oh so elusive strain thus far.. this time around i'm growing some of sannies blueberry x chemdog, dna's sleestack, which is shrom x martian mean green, and one white russian plant, which of course is white widow x ak47, so hopefully i'll be more into the sativa side of things with the white russian and the sleestack.. who knows.. when i do find that plant that is everything i'm looking for, i'll be in heaven and maybe trying some of my own crosses with it, who knows, lol..

i have a sags strawberry d-lite i just put into flower...

in veg it was the most compact plant of the bunch...even more compact than my master kush plants currently flowering next to it.

no hairs have shown as its only been 3-4 days in 12/12...


it was a bit of a slow grower in the beginning of veg (ie. all the other plants surpassed it but all sprouted the same day).

in the last 2 or so weeks its really caught up to the rest and now is equal size.


cant wait to try some of this stuff. whats the benefit to anxiety/depression with this strain? is it really heady or is there some indica in the high? is it racy?

What percentage Sativa/Indica influence would you say Strawberry D-lite is? and how did the trichomes look when you harvested? I ask because I am curious about this strain and was hoping/anticipating it being reported as a more sativa/uplifting type of smoke based on its genetics but it seems to be more of a couch-lock type smoke.

its hard for me to say what percentage of sativa and indica it maybe.. it definitley hits hard behind the eyes like a good indica, but at the same time it didn't give me that couchlock effect at the same time.. i find it to be a nice mix of genetics, maybe leaning a lil more to the indica side of things, but not by much.. was a great smoke all around..

oh yah, i i always try and harvest when i just start to see some amber colored tric's.. hope this helps some..
