please explain.......

"depending on flower period" I'm almost positive their just saying its a non auto flowering plant. but they don't actually say the flower time. but skunk#1 x afghani your looking at around 8-10 weeks.

really your just looking at another super skunk you know right? super skunk is still good but if you looking for an og type kush thats not it.

when looking up royal kush by g13 the flowering time usually says " depending on photo-period" what does that mean exactly??? http://www.cannabissearch.com/strains/royal-kush/

What it means is, the calendar length of the flowering cycle will vary depending on how many hours light/dark you use during flowering.

Contrary to internet "custom" its perfectly possible to flower plants under lighting cycles OTHER than 12 hours light/12 hours dark and there are several reasons why you might consider using other than 12-12 cycles.

For example. flowering under 11/13 (or even 10/14) will cause plants to finish faster (in some cases by 1-2 full weeks), and is especially helpful with sativa-dominant plants that never seem to want to finish up.

Alternatively, you can run your lights 13/11 or even 14/10 in flowering to increase final yield, at the cost of a longer flowering time.

Some people like to start flowering at 14/10 then reduce the amount of light by 30 minutes each week, to end at 10/14. This more closely simulates what happens when plants are grown outside and winter approaches, and some thing it improves yield and quality.

i think i know its not an auto flower considering i vegged it for over 2 months. also i have dropped plenty of money into what im doing, i could afford an og clone. im trying to grow something i regulary don't see any of in seattle. royal kush i have never had and got 2 plants on recommendation from a connect from cali while picking up east coast sour diesel ... which surprisingly is not as common as you think in seattle. most of the time the sour here is indica dominant thanks to a company in tacoma at least they openly admit it to who they are selling it to that its not the real sour d. ok rant is over

I would take everything on that website with a grain of salt.

"This bud appears to be infested with sticky tri-chromes"

Tri-Chromes? Seriously?

You're welcome.

Without knowing what the breeder actually claims (and its curious that they are deliberately NOT making any claims. . .everyone else seems to have no problem doing it), you can figure that something that's a cross between an Afghani and Skunk #1 will probably take around 8-9 weeks to finish using standard 12-12 lighting.

I'm sure its full of trichomes; my issue is with the word "infested". Ick!

Anyway, I think you have to take ALL claims by ALL breeders with a grain of salt. Unfortunately, there is no external oversight of seed companies, and given the black market nature of much of the business, the incentive is for them to shade the truth about flowering times, potency, and other characteristics.

I think a good rule of thumb for most breeders is whatever they claims the flowering time is (ie 7-9 weeks), you take the highest number they give as a good minimum.
