Well I planted 2 SSSDH, one was male one was female. I got rid of the male and have the female growing and I was wondering why it looked slightly seeded. Then yesterday I saw it, the SSSDH had a couple nanners. I don't get nanners with this grow method from TgA SUbcool, G13 Labs, sannies, among others.

I just thought I should mention anyone who tries SSSDH that I did get some hermie traits on my female. I'm still letting her live and i'm hoping the smoke is as good as I hope. Its only on week 4 and the leaves are frosty, i'll try to post some pics later.

I just felt it important to point out when something hermies on me. Not since Greenhouse Seeds have I seen a hermie.
 
I hate to give negatives about a company, but I hate hermies more. Its not too bad but the plant did seed itself early on so odds are it could be a big seeded plant full of useless seeds. I hope not and pulled off the nanners I found. I do however have high hopes for the high off this plant.
 
Damn mate, that sucks to hear about. Are there definate seeds in the calyx or are the nanners sterile?? Keep a close eye and if those nanners re-appear gank it fella, you don't want it pollinating/spoiling anything else you have running.
 
I DO have seeds forming on the bottoms of the whtie hairs. So it did seed itself.

Those seeds will be destroyed as soon as taken. God I hope the smoke is worth it.

Thats the best thing for herm'ed seed mate (the bin), should still be a nice smoke though, but a shadow of what it could have been imo. It hasn't affected anything else has it??

I've grown SHJ and had no issues like this, CSG do both fems & regs the "Cheech & Chong" is feminised though...

These WERE regular seeds and not fems. Sorry.

Also I got a pack of Sour Hazy Jones and i'd be lying if I said I wasn't growing oen of them out at some point in the future. I'm not hating, just educating.
 
It's 50/50 chance with them, they are using rez's gear. OG Chem produced both herming and stable phenos for me still gonna run the cheesedog at some point but I don't expect much more. Your not the first person I hear from that there's nanners in the sssdh project line too, which is disappointing and I am sure thats your feeling. Try pinching them shut at the base so they just don't open but don't signal the hormones to produce more!
I have been on the fence of reporting my experience as I am not a flamer, not like it matters those fools (Truecannabliss and OJD) dropped their gear and vanished from the internet. I guess now I know why.

Sorry to hear it man, I am not hating either really but I wont be dropping a hun on them again. The beans are definitely fire (now you have fems), just stable as the titanic. Enjoying a bowl of semi seeded og chem right now, it's still better than some breeders stable genetics...... just sayin'

Your like one of their testers or something **(gage green too no)?!.... while I got you, thanks for your reports they are great munkie!

**Funny enough, the last post I saw true make was one where he was trying to get some nug from one of his testers.

Thanx I'm happy you like my work mate :mrgreen:. I now independently "test grow" for a few different breeders not just GG :wink:. But I'm running quite a few of GG's newer test lines atm (5 in total lol). I don't test for CSG though....
I don't know what the CSG fellas were thinkin tbh, kinda crazy trying to do things like that though...

Agree, I"ve harvested mine now and the smoke is fantastic despite seeding itself. Great high smell and flavor despite slightly seeding itself.
 
Hey bro im real sorry to hear about the hermi problems you experienced, i hope this is not something that caused you too much hassle or negative effect on final product. Did you take cuts to run again?
Of all the packs we have sold i think this is only the 2nd report of hermi's on the SSSDH that i can recall and the other was an outdoor grow. The only thing i can say is that i hope you can get the cut to behave or find a stable keeper from the rest of the pack. You seem like an experienced grower so i am hesitant to offer to much advice but i would try running her again with a much lower feed and see if that helps, the tiniest stress can cause a few nanna's so hopefully thats all it was.
Do you have any pics, i'd love to see how she turned out.

Good to see you about, sorry to hear of your unfortunate absence.
I am doing just that (re-run) to see if it was more me. Honestly, this cut is so good it is the first time I have considered keeping one even if it is picky. I want to swallow razor blades and punch my self in the face for saying that right now! :D

This was also an outdoor grow. I veg indoor but I flower outdoor. The bud isn't too seeded, I get seeds off it but I caught the slight nanners in time. I do have seeds, but the smoke is fantastic. I do love the lemon fuel smell and taste as well as the relaxing high.

I got apack of OG Chem and Sour Hazey Jones i'll try out in the future. Why does your smoke have to be so good? I smoked some and found myself standing there saying "Ohhhmmmm". ANd i'm not an experienced grower, i'm a n00bie.

I'll grow your gear in the future despite my one hermie only because the smoke is dank. I hope it wasn't my n00bieness that caused this hermie but it is possible.
 
tardis: Unless your Time and Relative Dimension in Space is different than mine, you're not a noob. A noob is somebody who's never grown.
 
BTW Tardis, I know you have issues with eating and strains that help with that are preferred. That og chem makes eating obligatory, not just munchies I mean fully blown voracity.
