Hemcy Seed Co.?

This is one of the few breeders that will ship direct to the US, they also distribute for other fairly reputable breeders.

If anyone is familiar/has ordered from them, please share your experience.

I have purchased from Hemcy a number of times and never had a bad experience. Hemcy has had a 4 1/2 star rating on Greenman's seedbank rating site for a number of years. It's rating is as high as any other seedbank Greenman rates and higher than most, including several that a number of people here praise very highly.

What impressed me is having their own genetics up against the competition(so to speak for lack of a better term)on their own website. $$ is no object for what I want, but their prices are reasonable. I've been looking for some original black African beans as well, all I find are sites claiming the original. Perhaps someday I can afford to travel the world collecting authentic beans from the natives, that would be fun!.

Highgrade Seeds has a few pure African landrace strains now.

Their site is no-nonsense, basically just seeds and direct contact/backround info...I like that.

I wanted to bring this thread up again b/c they make it very difficult to order, perhaps intentionally?. They do not accept any plastic whatsoever, and charge an extra $25 to process a money order. The only other option is to mail cash, which I'm not about to do overseas. And to top it off, the only email they do NOT wish to be contacted with is Yahoo...which so happens to be my email host.

i have mailed them cash from canada at least 7-8 times .......always got my order.just wrap the bills in some paper and use a larger manilla envelope,seal the cash in 2 sheets of balnk paper in a smaller regular envelope and then into a manilla with 2 more sheets of paper with writing on them(i photocopy magazine pages)seal it up and send.works great and noone would ever expect money in it.

Thank you for the helpful info. If I may, can I ask why you chose Hemcy as opposed to a reputable Canadian breeder such as HGS?. I'm curious as to why you went overseas rather than staying within your borders.

they have zens seeds strains and i wanted erdpurt seeds.i think i have pretty much grown out every zen strain they offer.

i have never ordered from HGS before.i have ordered tons of time from oiverseas seedbanks,more than from canada.european seedbanks carry seeds that u cant get from canadian banks.
