The large one is the wasp larva. The female goes out and stings the caterpillars to put them in a kind of coma to act as food for the larva until it metamorphizes into another wasp and breaks out of the cocoon.

Woke up this morning to the fish tank filter making gawdawfull noises because of low water level. The fish died awhile ago from toxic water because of a lack of water changes, which were delegated to someone else due to my inability to do it myself. I'm ready to call it a day with the fish tank...
