    Hitting Ceiling of Greenhouse

Hey that’s an interesting idea too. I have plenty of little hardware things I can use as weights. Might be worth trying on a few.

    Hitting Ceiling of Greenhouse

I’ve really been racking my brain on the best plan of action. I almost removed the cover last night, cuz I really don’t want to lose what I’ve worked pretty hard to set up. I even installed a drip system a couple months ago before I put the cover on. It’s just the neighbors preventing me from...

    Hitting Ceiling of Greenhouse

Fortunately this greenhouse can roll up the front and back (two layers, one with just a screen to keep pests out), and has six “windows” I keep open all the time. I guess I just really have to get a little more aggressive to free up some space.

    Hitting Ceiling of Greenhouse

Dang, now I feel even more worried, haha. I have one small fan hanging in there now and a bigger oscillating one coming tomorrow. A few weeks ago I thought the hard part was done but it seems I really underestimated this greenhouse venture. It was all much easier when I let them grow freely.

Yeah! It's Bud Worm Season. Pics

Just caught my first one of the season last week. I sprayed with BT and pyrethrum (and neem) probably a month ago, but I should have kept it up instead of waiting to find new damage. I gently removed this fella, then enthusiastically smashed it with a shovel.

Thanks, I actually have the option now. And yeah, I’ve been watching since before 2018 and joined then to ask a question, but ended up finding the answer after some research.

    Hitting Ceiling of Greenhouse

Thanks y’all for giving me some confidence and different options to try out. I love that lifted pic above, haha. I decided after this last week, when this year’s done, I’m definitely going to raise it up. It’d just be difficult at the moment, since the sides of my netting are connected to the...

    Hitting Ceiling of Greenhouse

Maybe I’ll aim lower for other stems. I’m definitely not used to snapping branches or having a roof, and I’m in a new location (the neighbors would have visibility without the greenhouse; maybe they wouldn’t care, not sure yet). Hard for me to get this answer, but is topping counterproductive at...

    Hitting Ceiling of Greenhouse

Thanks for the replies. I have went ahead and cut down all the tallest branches, and snapped/tied down a few of the bushier tops that have the most growth. But those still only give me maybe 12-18” of clearance. Might these still be cause for worry in a few weeks? Trying to attach a few pics...

    Hitting Ceiling of Greenhouse

Hi all, can’t recall if I’ve posted before, but I’ve lurked for like a decade. I’ll try to keep this short but provide as much info as needed… I’m in Northern California and growing several plants outdoor in a 12’ L x 6.5’ W x 6.5’ H greenhouse (mainly for privacy). I have grown outdoor before...
