What is the smallest (height) of cutting did you guys managed to clone? I have two week old seedlings about 5-8 inch tall, what if I just pinch a top with 2 nodes (1 inch) and try to clone? What do you think, any chances of rooting?

So yesterday I saw white fluffy stuff appeared on one of the buds, I did foliar all of them with soda/soap mix (soda 1tsp/litre). Today I saw all hairs turn dark brown... Did I kill my lovely ones? I have one week left, do they grow any bigger, or should I chop the top ones that turned brown?
