They said the res needs to be above the pots because they need some pressure to get the water to the carrots, gravity is enough, then they do the rest.

Yes 43 days from seed it's a autoflower so it doesnt grow like a photo plant its about 2 weeks into flower, live soil kits are super soils that are supposed to have enough nutes during the whole grow that you dont need to add any in it, the kits are kinda new and you can only add organic nutes...
