    My first grow light/tent completed! (4x Vero29)

It's a Mars Hydro 3.3 x 3.3 x 6 foot tent. Fan is Active Air 4" 165 CFM, filter is iPower GLFILT4M. Going to use FF Ocean forest with some amount of perlite. As for watering method, not sure what you mean. Still trying to plan the actual grow.. so far most of my learning was just in...

    My first grow light/tent completed! (4x Vero29)

Yeah fair without the angle it is different, but the thickness of the 1/8th just feels way more solid and I'd definitely go with it for future builds. I was thinking of doing a journal, I'll need all the support I can get as it's my first grow ever.

    My first grow light/tent completed! (4x Vero29)

They are 1/8th, seems like a good thickness, the bar in the middle holding the driver and box is 1/6th and it seems flimsy in comparison. I sourced them from a local metal supplier who cut them to my desired length and they were about 10% of the price home depot was selling it for here. The...

    My first grow light/tent completed! (4x Vero29)

I got the SST X heatsinks from Northern Grow and they are working great, even with the fan off and the tent closed they keep fairly cool. The COBs I used are 3500k 80cri 38v and I'm running them at 2.1 amps.

    My first grow light/tent completed! (4x Vero29)

I finally finished my first grow light! Big thanks to this forum for making it possible, especially Robincnn at Northern Grow for supplying parts I couldn't find locally and giving me a lot of great advice. I would highly recommend buying from Northern Grow if you are looking for parts! Also...

Broke off solder pad on Vero 29, any way to repair?

Well I just used hot glue to stick the pad back onto the COB, and by some miracle everything lights up. Hopefully the COB doesn't get hot enough to melt the glue. Will be posting pictures soon of the sloppiest COB build this forum has ever seen haha.

Broke off solder pad on Vero 29, any way to repair?

So, any way I can reattach this contact pad? I can't believe how easily it came off, I wasn't rough with it at all. All the others are fine so maybe it was just a defective one.

Broke off solder pad on Vero 29, any way to repair?

Hrm, maybe I'll try to contact them to confirm, because the datasheet on that page is the one I linked to and it says 'Voltage (max.): 130V'.

Broke off solder pad on Vero 29, any way to repair?

Do you have a link to that, because on the website's datasheet is says the max voltage is 130v. http://www.literature.molex.com/SQLImages/kelmscott/Molex/PDF_Images/987650-8361.PDF

Broke off solder pad on Vero 29, any way to repair?

I was soldering my cobs together, and didn't realize how fragile the solder contact pads are attached to the COB on the Vero 29, just a gentle tension from bending the wire cased the solder pad to snap right off! Is there any way to fix it or is the COB busted? I wanted to just use the molex...

4 Vero29 COBS in a 3x3 tent, what is the optimal spacing?

I'm assembling a 4 COB setup for my 3x3 tent, what is the optimal spacing for 4 Vero29 38v 3500k 80 CRI COBs in a square tent? Here's the max size I have with the 20" pre cut aluminum I currently have, is this good spacing or should they be closer/further? I also have some 28" pieces that I...

Got all my COB parts, need help with safe wiring!

Thanks, I have watched his video a few times and will be referencing it. He doesn't seem to use any sort of fuse in that video though?

Got all my COB parts, need help with safe wiring!

So I just got all my parts to build my new COB. I have 4 38V Vero 29s which I want to wire in series to a HLG-320H-C2100B with a potentiometer. I've bought some aluminum angle to assemble the frame and have a waterproof junction box with glands. Now that it's come down to it I'm a bit...

First Grow - Complete setup with Canadian sourcing - Need advice/approval!

Ugh it seems that the Pico Ez-mates have a max voltage of 130v, I guess I'm going to have to solder as well.

First Grow - 3x3 with DIY COBs. Critique my plan please!

I posted a similar thread to this in the LED subforum but was hoping to get some more general advice not related to the lighting, so I hope it's ok to post here. After a week of researching and reading on here (mostly about lighting so far), I've finally decided on a plan for my complete setup...

First Grow - Complete setup with Canadian sourcing - Need advice/approval!

Oh nice...do you have a lot of connectors left that you aren't going to use? I could paypal you a fair price for them, don't really want to wait 3-4 weeks just for the connectors as everything else should arrive much sooner. I don't really understand the wiring of these systems because I have...

First Grow - Complete setup with Canadian sourcing - Need advice/approval!

Thanks for the picture! Excuse my ignorance for what are all those orange bars in the box? Is that a potentiometer? I thought the B series had them right on the driver or am I mistaken?

First Grow - Complete setup with Canadian sourcing - Need advice/approval!

That is a pretty sick price, I think my DIY budget for the same power will end up being quite a bit over that. If they sold a kit without a frame I'd be all over it but I don't really like the area of an enclosure where I can't adjust spacing or make easy modifications as needed.
