    630w DE - CMH?

I would call but that bulb is out of stock and discontinued it says https://www.bulbspro.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=philips+21831 I'm aware that all the ballast are manufactured in China the difference is a reputable brand name and a warranty. I believe the philips as well is Chinese...

    630w DE - CMH?

You have no idea how hard I have looked lol. The link to the bulbs pro website lists that bulb as a t9 but shows a picture of a t12 so I'm not sure which it is but I would need a t12 and either way it is out of stock and discontinued according to that website:( Edit: At closer inspection on the...

    630w DE - CMH?

Hey thanks for the reply. great to hear from someone with first hand experience with them. I decided to go 315w se cmh because of my 8 ft ceilings I fear i won't have enough room between the light and canopy.

Sun Systems LEC 315 - Reviews?

Sorry one more question for you guys. I'm about to pull the trigger on 3 sun system lec 315 units but at grower house they have the built in ballast one for $485 or something and they sell the remote reflector for $118 and the sun system galaxy 120v ballast for use with it for $175 and I'd need...

Sun Systems LEC 315 - Reviews?

Agreed it doesn't look very good. The only thing I took from the videos was the difference in terps and thc. As long as it's the same guy growing in the same conditions be it good or bad it is a fair comparison. I was curious what the difference between the two would be I never watched the...

Sun Systems LEC 315 - Reviews?

Thanks for all the great info. I'm thinking I'm probably going with the cmh for now but I may look into maybe adding some cree cob led supplemental lighting later on then maybe maybe a full switch. Right now I'm paying over $7000 a year at medical dispensaries on medication so after I start...

Sun Systems LEC 315 - Reviews?

That's not a bad price for that at all. Just wondering how much do you think it would cost for for a diy version of that? 799 usd still converts to $1050 canadian which is about 500 more then the cmh fixture I'm not sure if I'm ready for that kind of investment or not. ... just out of curiosity...

Thanks a lot for your reply I appreciate it. I am also canadian and that new med program is what bring me here today now that me and the wife can finally legally grow for ourselves. In the video prior to the one I posted while still flowering he actually talked about how much better the terpene...

Sun Systems LEC 315 - Reviews?

Thanks for the info. I looked into the gavita but in the end i was worried about my 8ft ceilings being an issue as I read of people getting bleached tops from the intense light. And right now all I have is a 8 x 10 spare room I'm going to build my grow area around my light choice, whatever is...

Sun Systems LEC 315 - Reviews?

Thank you so much for your informative reply. That's exactly what I was looking for thank you. I am pretty much building my space around my lighting pick I'm looking at picking up 3 315w cmh, one for a 3x3 veg and 2 for maybe a 3x6 ish flower. I was going to go for the Phantom 315w unit to...

Sun Systems LEC 315 - Reviews?

Hello i am pretty new here just trying to set up my first grow and just have a quick question for you if you don't mind. I've watched a video on YouTube where someone grew under identical conditions with a LED (not cree cob's) a gavita and and a 315w cmh and the thc levels were tested at 18.9...

    630w DE - CMH?

I have considered this option as well the only problem i had other then not knowing about the ballast quality was it would cost $330 canadian (for the kit at growers house $167 u.s. plus 80 u.s. to include a bulb) plus another 150-200 for a decent reflector up here so about 500 which is great...

    630w DE - CMH?

Agreed but it would cost me less for this 630w double ended set up then a 315w sun system so this makes way more sense for me in canada anyway to go for the 630w de cmh. I got an email from GC today that stated they make as much heat as a 600w de hps and and should be kept as far as as 1000w...

    630w DE - CMH?

I thought it was PAR that was more important compared to the lumens for plant life? I have looked into some diy cob set ups and if I had a little bit more technical know how I'd try to put one together myself but unfortunately I'm pretty sure I'd just end up starting starting a fire lol

    630w DE - CMH?

Actually here in canada it would cost me about the same to get that 1000w dimmable square wave ballast and fixture and the 630w de cmh bulb as it would to purchase a sun system 315w lol so I'd go for 2 630w before I'd go for 2 315 if there's not much of a difference.

    630w DE - CMH?

So you would still recommend 2 315w cmh over 1 DE- 630W CMH (not the double 315w bulb unit,) http://growershouse.com/growers-choice-630w-de-double-ended-cmh-ceramic-mh-lamp-3k-r-red-enhanced
